Could someone PLEASE tell me what this company is zapping from our accounts under? I am looking for the name used when processing ACH debits and credits. It is OBVIOUSLY not Platinum, and since I too am in the process of filing my report with the Florida State Attorney's office regarding Ellis Crosby, I need to know what name I'm looking for on my statement so I can show the original loan and all payments. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

I called PB and they gave me the number to the number to another place that sends my account out to the collection agency. The company is called "I Collect" and the lady was really nice but she did inform me that the phone calls I have been receiving from United Fed. Bank is legit. I think they are totally unprofessional and even though is seems crazy and I know there is no such thing as "debt prison" it is so scary when they say "we are forwarding your file and the investigators will be there in 30 min." I want to hear from someone who just stop answering the calls...what was the final result? Has anyone really been picked up by the police?

You cannot be arrested for being in debt or defaulting on a loan. While your debt maybe with Platinum B Services, check out some of the threads on Cash Today and Sonic. Pollyandsay, The Pay day loan avenger and kavala316 have done a enormous amount of research into many payday loan companies, as well as many state laws. learn your state laws, you may find some relief there. In the future, stay away from Payday loans. they don't solve many problems , and usually they cause worse problems.

and last but not least ( and this doesn't apply only to payday loans either ) Don't panic, and don';t let the collections agencies and collections attorneys harass you or scare you, don't Panic! YOU have the ability to control the situation, DO NOT let them think they have the upper hand.

Jerkball-

I have not posted any false information on this site. Our numbers are still working properly, we receive hundreds of phone calls a day. Myself or my managers have spoken with several people from this forum. Maybe you should check the number you have been dialing and try again.

We are not united federal bank. We are not a bank at all. We are a loan processing.company. I appreciate the heads up and will contact the BBB today to get this situation resolved. We only go by 2 names, to our customers we are Platinum B Services. Our corporation was filed under SJM Marketing, this is also what appears on our customers bank statements.

i cannot seem to find a direct website for your company. recd letter and threatening phone calls from Account Receivable Technologies listing your company as the client. why is a collection agency representing another collection agency and why can't i get detailed information as to what's allegedly owed and from whom?

so you are all aware pb services is also known as sjm marketing and united federal bank. i am aware that paying bills is ideal, however after taking out a loan my wallet had been stolen and i contacted my bank to close the account and what not. united federal bank called telling me i was going to jail if i didnt not send a payment.which i did.i paid half via money gram. when i went to sent the remaining balance, money gram would no longer work with them. naturally they were upset and i refused to do buisness with them until i could verify the company. they told me they would contact me later on how to pay them. 7 months later i get a call from pb services telling me i was being sued in california fo malicious intent to defraud. i was yelled at. told i was a liar and that they didnt want the money just to send me to jail. i had to ask them 4 times to tell me who they were before getting an answer...they tried to verify info with me and got beligerent when i refused to give them a " reference". i was told i had 2 hours or id be going to jail. i called back and was told that they didnt know what i was talking about when they had orriginally told me about a " stop action " form. it was the same man i spoke to earlier that day who told me all this. he told me i was a liar..finally told me i owed 565 and to send it via money gram to bass enterprises in flordia. the account number he gave me was different from the one i recieved the day before and when i questioned him about it i was told i could put any numbers i wanted down and it would still be paid......he then told me to concact my lawyer ( which i had told the guy earlier i would do..tho this guy claims it wasnt him) and borrow the money and laughed at me. i checked with money gram, bass enterprises is not a debt collector and not affiliated with pb services.
after doing more research i have indeed paid half of this loan alrady but they are trying to get that half again....they lie, are rude and decieveing..they yelled at my boss who would not verify our address because they refused to identify themselves and frankly.i hope someone from the office reads this.
you have been reported to the department of finacial institutes for fraud, improper colllection tactiic and going against the collection act. and htey will reveievw it quickly because all i had to tell the lady was the company name and she already knew what the complaint was about...so please.im begging you. call me again. i told you you wouldnt get away with it and i was right.

also..please do not hesitate to inform them that you have a right to recieve in writing who they are, what they are collecting for and in what amounts.if they refuse ( which they try to do) inform them you will contact the department of finaical institutes for breaking the collections act. trust me when i tell you that when you speak to someone from this department, they are already working onhow to get them out of buisness for their tactics.
you cannot go to jail for having debt. you can have a court order to pay said debt, but they cannot throw you in jail like they claim they can do. its all horrible practices by collectors to scare you into paying right away. also make SURE you go over your own records along with theirs.if you do a search for this company on the web you will see that they have been getting more money than they are entitled to from MANY different people.

Hi dnew orleasa, welcome to the forums. This website is not affiliated with loans or collection agencies, it is a forum for people to discuss debt problems and share experiences and exchange advice. You should contact your creditor or collection agency directly to resolve the issue. Why don't you consider joining the forum? It can be a wonderful asset while trying to resolve your debt issues. :-)

remember this.....they cannot take legal action against you without giving you documentation of what you owe and to whom you owe it. if you look thru this forum youll find a number or 2 to call them. remember that if they get nasty with you..write down what they have to say. tell them you want them to send you documentation of what you owe and who you owe it to..if they refuse well...it wouldnt be a shock but inform them you can and will contact your state attorney general to find the correct government entitiy to report their unethical behavior. i personally have never in my life conversed with such rude and abusive people. i am currently working with my states department of finacial institues who not only investigated them but informed me that if they do not address the issue i can be paid from the company 2x's the amount of the loan not to exceed 1000 bucks and collect damages.
these people are not nice...they use terrible scare tactics. just remember..no one goes to jail for having debt. if that was true most of us would be there

Write your congressmen and state legislators and demand they pass laws limiting interest rates and charges. This should cover banks as well as these pay day loan sharks.

It was a collection company. Platinum B does handle collections. All closed accounts, stop payments, and revoked authorizations are sent to a collection company. Just like EVERY loan company handles things these days. The amount of deadbeats that find it ok to take the loan companies money, but not pay it back has gotten to be to much for loan companies to handle themselves. But I guess that is what our entire country has come to people saying gimmee gimmee, but when it comes time to payback, UH I dont think I want to, but thanks for the handout. (i.e. Welfare, affirmative action, payday loan thieves, etc.)

I dont understand why if i payed 75 a pay period for the past 8 months and My car gets broken in to and and i loos everything they call me thretening me. They dont want to give me any information about there company and any paperwork on my debt. This is coming form teh so called legal advice office that contacted me. not Platinum B

All iam trying to do is set things straight. i have used other payday loan companys and havent had any problems with them. For some reason Platinum B has ignored my attempts to make contact with them. If you see this VP for Platinum B I have called twice now and no responce from any on ein the company i have also left 2 messeges on your voice mail. and sent an email directly to you and to the main company email.
All i want is to resolve this issues iam not a payday loan theif. Iam a respected memeber of the US military and because of some issues like having some one brake into my house my accounts had to be closed.

Pleas feel free to cantact me
My foirst name is Ramon. I have left my phone number on your mailbox. and i have emailed you as well

I dealt with someone named Nikki to get my payday loan autorized. She tried to send me a loan document but it was unopenable. It came over my email as the following:

From: Nikki
Date: 07/12/06 06:16:59
To: maryorona(at)sbcglobal.net
Subject: PB251900.doc

Your Choice Cash!
As a reminder, your loan will be refinanced on each due date. Refinancing will continue until you authorize us of your request to pay your loan in full.

I could never get in contact with her again to even get a copy of my loan documents. I have had to close my account due to fraudulent activity and cannot payback the loan in full or even have them keep taking their finance charges out of the account. I am trying to go thtu CCC to see if I can consolidate my debt to get it manageable so I can survive and still pay my bills.

I took out a $200.00 loan with Platinum B in late August after missing time from work due to illness, but on Sept. 9 I lost my job and was unable to make my scheduled payments. Also, I had to close my checking account because some outfit called Membership Plus was debiting $21.95 for an auto club
deal I never authorized (I don't even drive!). When I called Membership Plus to complain, they were very rude, and said I signed up through a payday loan company...It turns out they have a lot of complaints against them for that. Any way, no one at Platinum B ever contacted me, although I did call them once to explain what happened, and the CSR was understanding and told me to get back to them as soon as I had a new bank account # and a new job, so I could pay off the loan. Then , earlier tonight, I got a call on my cell phone from someone named Suzanne Thompson at Des & Associates on behalf of Platinum B accusing me of 'theft-by-deception' and e-mail fraud, and demanding payment in full (over $500) within two hours or 'affidavits' charging theft and fraud would be filed with the county I live in. I said I don't have that kind of money, she said if I paid $100.00 by 9am. tomorrow morning she would defer the rest for two weeks, otherwise she implied I would be facing jail. She also mentioned MoneyGram as the preferred form of payment.

After reading all these posts, I'm damn glad I didn't send her anything...My plan is to call Platinum B in the morning (before 9) and try to work out a payment plan with them. I will also contact an attorney for legal advice. Josh, you seem to be a decent person, what's your take on my experience?

As for PB no longer using Ellis-Crosby, it seems to me that they may have changed their name, but not their tactics. Any one else dealt with Dez & Associates?

...that First National Bank didn't really care about the money from me, that they'd rather see me in jail and embarrassed as a deterrent to others. Her phone #
is 877-281-2224, ext. 312.

I have tried to contact these people I have a loan with them and they take $90 out every other week. I want to know when do I start paying off the loan not just the finance fee. I considered stoping payment thru my bank but I don't want to go to collections. What should I do.

This company will just continue to take the fee out for as long as you let them. Try to give them a call at 1-866-722-2770 and if nobody answers press 0, that will usually get you to a human. Tell them you are ready to start paying this off. Trust me it will be much easier to try and deal with them before they send you to their nasty collection agency. Also what state do you live in, make sure you have not been overcharged according to your state laws.

I am in Nebraska. So If I call them and tell them I am ready to start paying my loan off they will just start taking the finance which is $90 plus $50 toward the loan correct. Then the finance will decrease each time correct.
