This may be worth researching.

Wow! This is real good information. Anyone who has faced the illegal collection methods from the above CA's will just have to call the law office. Sounds really interesting!! Actually, I see so many of these CA's discussed in this forum

Thanks TMD for doing such a great and helpful research. :) It's really appreciated

Their website also has a databank of creditors with their addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers...may come in handy for some of those hard to find companies.

I just sent them an email, asking what type of info they need. I will let you know if they respond and what they say.

I also found this little piece of information on the website when I contacted them:

The firm will review collection letters and loan documents for consumers (not debt collectors or lenders) free of charge. Please fax them to us at 312/ 419-0379.

I just faxed him the letter and gave Ed Combs my phone number and email address for him to respond if he feels necessary. I guess there is someone out there listening to us.

They emailed me back already(I asked them about one of the CA's in particular)Here is their response:

Some of their collection letters violate the fdcpa. We were looking for examples. If you send the letter we will review without charge.

Do you think maybe someone is finally going to do something? Look out junk debt buyers, an attorney is wise to the violations.

TTF- they would probably still take a look at anything you have from Oxford and make sure it is following the law. It is worth a try...I am sure they are willing to add more to their list if they are brought to their attention.
