Does anybody know the contact info for star cash processing. They deposited 300.00 in my bank account and I can't find there contact number.

Shazzers,

Do you have a link for that law? I think I am going to close my account with them just because they are being uncooperative and not in support of their customer. When I was with Wells Fargo they disputed any and everything I asked as well as placed blocks.

[quote]?? 907. Preauthorized transfers

(a) A preauthorized electronic fund transfer from a consumer's account may be authorized by the consumer only in writing, and a copy of such authorization shall be provided to the consumer when made. A consumer may stop payment of a preauthorized electronic fund transfer by notifying the financial institution orally or in writing at any time up to three business days preceding the scheduled date of such transfer. The financial institution may require written confirmation to be provided to it within fourteen days of an oral notification if, when the oral notification is made, the consumer is advised of such requirement and the address to which such confirmation should be sent.
(b) In the case of preauthorized transfers from a consumer's account to the same person which may vary in amount, the financial institution or designated payee shall, prior to each transfer, provide reasonable advance notice to the consumer, in accordance with regulations of the Board, of the amount to be transferred and the scheduled date of the transfer.

I just received an email from Star Cash Processing last night ( I just opened it right now) with loan documents attached telling me about this so called transaction. Mighty funny they send me loan docs the NIGHT before they debit my account for $90, but I didn't get an email letting me know that I was getting the deposit in the first place. They made the deposit on June 11th. I called them and they are saying that since I am just now reporting it that I have to pay the $90 and fees, etc. I think this is bull since I never requested anything and it just so happens that I just checked my bank account and saw the debit and then noticed the deposit. Not my fault - I don't think???

According to this ACH is not an EFT.

6) the term "electronic fund transfer" means any transfer of funds, other than a transaction originated by check, draft, or similar paper instrument, which is initiated through an electronic terminal, telephonic instrument, or computer or magnetic tape so as to order, instruct, or authorize a financial institution to debit or credit an account. Such term includes, but is not limited to, point-of-sale transfers, automated teller machine transactions, direct deposits or withdrawals of funds, and transfers initiated by telephone. Such term does not include--
(A) any check guarantee or authorization service which does not directly result in a debit or credit to a customer's account;
(B) any transfer of funds, other than those processed by automated clearinghouse, made by a financial institution on behalf of a consumer by means of a service that transfers
{{4-28-00 p.6626}}funds held at either Federal Reserve banks or other depository institutions and which is not designed primarily to transfer funds on behalf of a consumer;

hello :) it does cover ACH. I would keep going up the chain of command, i would contact corporate at this point. you legally have the right to block ach, and in fact i would file this as fraud. I reported them to the attorney general and my department of banking and finance (ftc as well). they were contacted by my department of banking and finance, and i think that is why i recieved my loan documents. only they list a bank that i not only do not have but no longer exsists! they stole old info from when i used to apply for payday loans, but this was over a year ago!!

I had this company deposit money into my account Friday and I called the number listed a few times and all I get is they are not open. I contacted the customer service at my bank and told them about it. I also had a charge from protection services listed for Friday, I called there number and it says tehy are associated with payday loans. Sounds like they are scamming together with star cash processing. They scam people and then sign them up for ID theft protection-how ironic is that. Anyway I asked them to cancel teh ID theft protection and they are supposed to credit me for that and I am closing my bank account, but they told me that if anything comes in within 7 days of the account being closed that it will reopen. Sounds like there's no way around it. I have to talk with my bank in teh morning. What do people think, if they deposited this money into my account without my approval-should I be able to keep the money?

Hey, they did the same thing to me and I never authorized anything. Only it was for $100. I'm going to close my bank account before they have a chance to take any fees for it. That will force them to call me and I'll make arrangements to get their money back to them on my own.

To the one who wants to know if they should keep the money, heck yes!! You didn't authorize it with your signature, they gave you a gift. You close your account and you'll probably get a few threatening phone calls. Don't answer them and let them go to voicemail so you have a record of the call and what they said. Then, if they attempt to get money out of you another way, and they'll try, you have proof that you never authorized the deposit.

I just noticed (online) that they deposited $300 yesterday. I called that number - it has a scary recording with no hope of ever speaking with anyone - "sorry we are closed". I am on the phone with my bank right now.

They put $300 in my account on June 11 and took out $90 on June 30th. I called them to let them know I had never heard of their company and had not requested nor accepted any type of loan from them. The rep was very rude telling me I signed the contract electronically and that I did apply (even though I knew I hadn't). I then went to my bank and they were of NO assistance whatsoever. They too said I must have initiated this transaction since Star Cash had access to ALL of my information and told me I had to clear it up with Star Cash. I went back to Star and spoke to a supervisor and explained that I had NOT initiated any of this. The supervisor was nice and helpful and they did a withdrawal for $210 (they had already taken $90). She says they will not take anything else, but I am closing my account with my Credit Union anyway since they were so unhelpful and refused to provide me with any assistance. I am taking them FDIC law that states they have to, by law, at least investigate the matter and do a credit back the money as well as put on a stop and they wouldn't do any of that.

If you are in this situation, contact your bank (be honest), have them send the money back, change or close your account and call your state attorney generals office. This is a very elaborate scam and if you try to get a hold of someone you will wait til the end of time. Trust me! I tracked down the above number, posted by me, with the help of my bank and found out it is a 24 hour answering service. I live in Florida and called the AG's office, Florida Office of Financial Regulation, The BBB and a local attorney.

Nope, I just got thru. My bank, Wachovia solved it! I was on the phone with a rep from Star Cash (many people have complained) and they are taking back their money tonight. It seems that if you inquire of a loan, they have an auto approval that takes place as long as you have filled out an application.

I also received an unsolicited deposit and subsequent collections notice from "Star Cash Processing." I did not authorize a deposit nor have I seen any loan documentation. I called them today and spoke to a manager named "Christian" who claimed that I either authorized the loan or am the victim of identity theft. The identity theft is by this particular company. When pressed for confirmation of a physical address and a license to lend in the state of Kentucky, "Christian" told me that he was not allowed to give out that information and I had to no right to request it. Riiiight. When I asked for copies of the loan information, I was told to go to starcashprocessing.com, which is a non-existent URL. When pressed for an address, I was given the standard "3531 P Street NE Miami OK 74355" address as well. There is no such location in Miami, OK. I called back, and a representative refused to give me a physical address, threatening to terminate the call unless I gave out my social security number. I do however have a working number for StarCashProcessing if anyone would like to call before this fly-by-night scam artist changes numbers again.

So I just received another call from Star Cash Processing. The rep tried to claim that my IP address was sufficient authorization for the loan transaction! He also told me that I could be arrested/face criminal charges, but was more than a little speechless when I asked in which court the charges would be filed since PDLs are illegal in Kentucky and Oklahoma, and I doubted that tribal police have jurisdiction in Kentucky. I contacted the Kentucky AG and OFI; both told me that closing my account was the right thing to do but there is little to stop any harassing phone calls. So far, I've turned the tables on these jokers today, calling them every five minutes to demand proof of the loan and a physical address. Now no one answers at the number I've got and the website to setup payments won't connect.

hee hee!

I can't believe this. Star cash did this to me on 7/7/09, deposited 200 in my account. After reading all these comments on star cash, I called my bank, told them what happened, my account was at a negative so they put the overdraft funds back into my account and now I have signed up for identity thief. I think we should all have that. I know it's hard with the economy being the way it is, but plz everyone be careful.

Hello All,
I checked my bank account today and these people deposited 300 into my account. I called them and asked them who provided permission to deposit money into my account. I told them to reverse it and they said they would at no extra cost. So that is supposed to post tonight at midnight. I will let you know how it goes. I just dont understand how these people can just put money into your account with out providing details on the service. "What are the contract details"

$ was just deposited into my account, too. In case it helps, I received an email from star cash right after I applied/accepted a payday loan on teamquickcash.com. I think I clicked on a link that said I had been accepted for another loan (which deceptively looked like it was from the teamquickcash.com website), then I got a spyware/virus alert on my computer, which is when I noticed the email from star cash. My email has a link on it, which goes to a copy of a payday loan contract completely filled out with social and bank info, etc. I really hope this company is legit.

Hello,

I have also been a victim of Star Cash Processing. Fortunately, I caught it before they could do any damage. My situation is very similar to what others have said here - I applied for a short-term loan through Check N Go and at some point in the future, I received a deposit from Star Cash Processing without them every having contacted me or receiving my permission to do so. Note that this is fraud and a violation of the Truth in Lending Act. There are many things you can do.

I have done my fair amount of research and I can assure you that this company is committing fraud. Here is what you can do to put them out of business; I strongly encourage anyone who has experienced this problem to follow all of these steps. If you applied for a loan with Check N Go at any point and later received a deposit from Star Cash Processing, follow all of the steps below - Check N Go is just as responsible since they are facilitating this fraud to happen in the first place.

If you have never applied for a loan from Check N Go, then simply ignore the steps below pertaining to them and adjust it for your situation. Please note since I am not a member of this site it will not let me post links. You will have to type them in manually; in fact, it is pretty stringent, so you'll have to remove a bunch of characters also...

1. File a complaint with the BBB for Check N Go. Go to bbb(d-o-t)org (to their national site) and search for them by their URL checkngo(d-o-t)c-o-m. This will bring up search results where the top result will be their main location in Mason, Ohio. Click the button that says file a complaint and follow the instructions.

2. Contact the Ohio Attorney General. Your letter does not have to be long; simply state what Check N Go has done to you. They sold your information to many companies (the number of which they will not tell you, nor will they provide you with any contact information for these companies) and that as a result of this you were victim to Star Cash Processing. The State Attorney General of Texas successfully sued Check N Go and has much stronger protection for consumers in their state as a result; go to the source though - get the Ohio State Attorney General to take this matter seriously. Go here to obtain the contact information you need: w-w-w(d-o-t)ag(d-o-t)state(d-o-t)oh(d-o-t)us

3. Star Cash Processing has been difficult to obtain contact information for, but I have determined where their bank is located and who their ACH processor is, so complain to them! They hold accounts at Bay City Bank in Florida. You can contact their ACH department by calling 813-949-1878. Call and leave messages for the individual responsible for ACH transfers and also call back and talk to the manager of the bank. Be persistent! The company id associated with Star Cash Processing's ACH account is 42-1578037.

4. Note that Star Cash Processing as well as another website they used are registered through GoDaddy(d-o-t)c-o-m. Although they are not hosted by GoDaddy, their abuse department does have the authority to shut down their domains from resolving if they have enough evidence to do so. Conact them at abuse(a-t)godaddy(d-o-t)c-o-m and explain your situation. They will take it seriously and the more people who do, the more likely they will lose their domains.

5. You need to protect yourself immediately. If you see a deposit from this company, do not spend it first of all! (Many of you have posted that you have and this is how they get you into such dire trouble.) They have no public website, but they do have a collection website at starcashprocessingb(d-o-t)virtualcollector(d-o-t)n-e-t. Note that there is a "b" at the end of "starcashprocessing" which means they have had to change this at various times to keep themselves in operation. Contact your bank, freeze your account, file a claim against the company to have the money returned to them, then close the account and open a new one. You must do this! You have no way of knowing just how many companies have your financial data - don't take any further chances.

Finally, keep in mind that this information is only useful as long as Star Cash Processing maintains the domains and bank accounts that are referenced in this message. Companies like this will try to thwart any attempts that consumers make to protect themselves. However, you can always complain about Check N Go and you really should contact the State Attorney General in Ohio - and Florida (for Star Cash Processing). Put these people out of business!

I received a call from Bay City Bank today. They provided me with another contact who handles the ACH transactions for Star Cash Processing - a software company called EPP Chex Paid (now known as Biling Tree). Their phone number is 877-377-2677. As a software company, there is little they seem willing to do, but the actual ACH processor is Affirmative Technology, Inc. You can try to look them up online; I will be doing so. Billing Tree tried to claim that because I gave my information to Check N Go that it was perfectly legal for Star Cash Processing to put money into my account. I quickly pointed out to her that it is a violation of the Truth in Lending Act to put money into my account when I have not been provided with loan documentation and my authorization was not given for this loan. You may need to tell them the same thing; it sounds to me like they know a lot about payday loan services and that they are in fact in league with them. She was pretty adamant until I got forceful with her about the facts. She went speechless! But best of all, I now have an actual physical address for Star Cash Processing! (Note that they operate under many DBA's - another of which is close to the top of this forum as well that has the word STAR in it.)

Here is their address:

2531 P. Street NW
Miami, OK 74354

I just spoke to a representative at Star Cash Processing (888-322-4069). I started the call with, "How's the weather up there in Miami, Oklahoma?" She laughed and said it was nice, confirming their location! Complain to the State Attorney General there. She was polite at first but later became very rude when I explained to her that I had placed a claim against the funds. She said it would have been easier for me to just call and have them reverse the transaction. She was very adamant that I had given them the information and that they do not purchase information from other companies. I assure you that is a lie! I've been programming computers for 20 years and I would know if I visited a site and provided my financial data to them directly. Do not let them mislead you. When I started ranting about how this was happening to people all over the country and that I would be filing a complaint with the Oklahoma Attorney General, she was finally willing to have a supervisor call me. These people are shady and they are definitely not to be trusted. PUT THAT ADDRESS TO GOOD USE!!!
