i tried to negotiate with the card before i was delinquent. they said they wont. does that make sense?? i am trying to forego the reporting that i paid late. they said they wont work with me unless Im late???

It is true that most credit card companies won't be ready to negotiate with you for credit card payments if you're current on your payments. Unless you're delinquent on your mortgage payments, the credit card company won't be ready to accept the fact that you're facing hardship in paying off your dues.

Hey Soaplady... thanks for letting me know about it. :-) You're referring to this line, I guess:
Quote:

Unless you're delinquent on your mortgage payments, the credit card company won't be ready to accept the fact that you're facing hardship in paying off your dues.

It was a typo error. What I actually means to say was that --- Unless you're delinquent on your credit card payments, the credit card company won't be ready to accept the fact that you're facing hardship in paying off your dues.
