I had a call on my answering machine from a guy telling me to call him back at 800-663-4707. When I looked the number up I found Leading Edge Recovery Solutions LLC out of Chicago, IL.

Has anyone ever heard anything about this company? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Someone by the name of Amy has her creditors calling my office number. I just received a recorded call from "Alexander Jessup" asking for me to call him back at 800-608-5301. I called back and got Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, the woman was very unprofessional and rude. Don't think she believed me when I told her I was not Amy and to stop calling. I guess I'll be getting more collections calls for Amy. ARGH!!!

This happened before but the company was palisades collections. They were terrible as well, until I threatened to have our legal department contact them regarding this harassment..

Is there no way to stop this!!

I had a great experience witht he company. they asked for my ohienumber too but it was used tolocate my acct as an alternative to me having to gv my ssn like most other companies ask for over the phone. I was told not much information coul dbe disclosed to me immediately without them first being able to verify who I was to protect my privacy, I think this was very professional of them. I was in a situation and they actually helped me find a way to resolve it. i was working with a debt consolidation company but found that if I work with the agency in a reasonable way I coudl pay my debt with out getting any more interest or late fees. With the conslidaton company I was actually just throwing money away. It ruined my credit and didn't even make arrangements on some of my accounts although I was mislead to believe they had. maybe you all just happened to get a rotten apple on the phone all companies have them, but my experience was a very professional one and I would not hesitate to resolve any of my accounts with them again. :D

This place is a joke. I get calls for 2 wks with the same recorded message, "This is Roger Bass, this is not a sales call". I called the number every day and no one answered. Finally, one Saturday morning a live person called and asked for David. I started to respond, there is no David, and before I could finish they hung up on me. I called back and explained that I was hung up on, they said that they will take my number off their list and hung up on me again. By now I am irate. I called back to speak with a manager and Mr. Jeff Collins said that I was holding up his representatives phone lines and HE hung up on me. I called back to get the mailing address, and they flatly refused!
I have filed every complaint known to man kind, today. 12/29/2007
P.S. I owe no one! :!:

Do not give these people any personal or bank information. Get everything in writing. They promise to settle and draw money from your bank, than call again stating they never offered to settle, and hit your bank again. If you can, record the phone conversation. Send a letter to them stating they are not to telephone you again, all communications from them needs to be in writing. I have just submitted documents to the Federal Trade Commission, the Illinois Attorney General, the Texas Attorney General, and a personal attorney. Best bet is to tell them to send a letter to you and not to call, but make sure you send a letter to them (certified, return receipt) Good Luck!

obviously their fishing for some kind of info from you. If the majority of the time like It seems here when you give them your # they say are you so and so or do you know somebody by that name? They won't tell you how or where they got your # from but they ask you for your #? Don't they have it already? I'm under the impression that they bought cell phone lists ilegally and have a program that calls as many # as it can. OPnce they get you on the line they try to boiler room your ass with the chances of you having some debt that you think their legally trying to collect. And honest trusting people agree to pay their outstanding debt and get taken. If you've had a good experience with this company it's because you work for them and you robbed someone.

First of all: We don't hate debt collectors. We hate debt collectors who don't obey the law. We hate collectors who don't treat people like....well....people. We hate collectors who use unconsionable methods to collect debts. And mostly, we hate debt collectors who who are spineless little weasels that post anonymously on message boards. I suggest you take your $6000 a month and go to school and learn to write in COMPLETE SENTENCES.

I was contacted by these people for a credit card I had 10 years ago in college. They were very pushy and and offered a settlement. I was anxious to get it taken care of as I could never find any ifo on who to contact to get it taken care of. They divided the settlement into 2 payments of 400+ each. I made the first payment and the woman I was dealing with was nice. She said if I had any problems making the payment to call her. So a week befor the 2nd payment was due I knew I didnt have all the money so I called her. She said "no problem, but you have to make a payment, so will it help to split it in half" I said yes and thank you and the payment was only suppose to be for 200+. well come the next day I get a call from my bank saying I am going to be overdrawn due to this $400+ check. They sent through the full amount anyway even after I called them. So I refused the check. First thing Monday I get a call from the woman I has been working with and she was very appoligetic saying they screwed up, and what could we do for payment. So I set up the 2 payments again for half of the rest of the settlement and everything was good. Well yesterday I get a call from a guy, that was a complete bull dog. Would not let me get a word in edgewise, and everytime I tried to explain what had happened he said he didnt care and we need to stop focusing on the past and move forward. He demanded payment that day and for more than what was owed stating that I broke the offer and was not allowed to change the amount, well why didnt the woman terll me that when I called. well after an hour of arguing with 2 different men the one demanded I send them the 400+ by western union today in order to charge off the account. Please HELP.....I do not feel comfortable sending money western union and I cant seem to figure out why everything is changing when I thought I had it all worked out with the woman. And also when I told him I wanted to get this done and I wasnt like alot of people that avoid debt collectors...He said"big deal you answered your phone, you want me to praise you for taking care of your business" and was just really smart alec with me. Someone please tell me what to do.

When these guys got my account from another collection agency, my bill was suddenly about $400 more. Is this legal? A $400 jump is alot more than just interest

Ya know - that person up above who posted about their 6k a month is beyond rudeness! If they are making 6k a month why are they worried about anyone else (Geesh). Anyhow, The number in my subject line keeps calling me (with a computer answer!) and when i call back they ask my name (which I give honestly) and then they tell me I am not in their system, what other names do I have? Well, last time I checked I only had one name - so can I really email the link and get them to stop?

I've been getting calls from them for a few weeks now. Come to find out they are calling on an old cell phone contract debt that was settled several years ago. They apparently buy bad paper and try to collect on it...probably hoping they can harrass someone into paying them to get them off their backs. Beware!

Unfortunately I had to deal with these animals today. The person I was dealing with was so rude and unbelievably unprofessional. I hope to never speak with these a##holes ever again.

Thank you for the advise, I will have their # blocked.

Leading Edge Recovery Solutions is a licensed collection agency located in Chicago, Illinois. If you are the recipient of unwanted phone calls or collection activity, please send an e-mail with your questions or concerns to help@leadingedgerecovery.com. In most cases, unwanted phone calls can be stopped within 24 hours.

I'm active duty army stationed overseas with NO....yes NO debt of any kind. These people continuously harass my parents, (with whom I have not lived for 16 years) asking for me. They just do not stop. Where do they get their information? Is there some database they have access to?

LEADING EDGE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS, LLC IS A SCAM OPERATION! I received a notice, claiming they were attempting to collect a debt I owed in relation to US Bank, the original creditor. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DEALING WHATSOEVER WITH US BANK IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

As soon as I called, they gave me a number for another collection agency IDT Carmel, which was also listed in the notice I received. Of course, they conveniently couldn't find my info from the account number listed, but said they could look it up by my social security number--OF COURSE!

If you get a notice from these crooks, do not just pay it. They are obviously counting on people never questioning the validity of these debts. As a result, they no doubt collect a good deal of money this way, either through people automatically paying, or through identity theft they engage in when people call and provide personal information.

If you get a notice from any of these companies, don't pay it and don't give them private information. Write them back and dispute it... and make a copy of the collection letter to send with a letter to alert your STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE!

I used to get calls from "Craig Jepson". I am now getting calls from "Daryl Rose". After receiving a total of roughly 6-8 calls from these people (the last TWO within 4 days), I decided to break down and return the call. They were looking for someone who doesn't even live here. I'm not buying it
though. I've had this number for almost 17 years. I was pretty livid with the person on the phone telling them everyone knows their operation is a scam and that I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau in Illinois. I also have an excellent credit rating so I know I don't owe anyone any money. This scam company is:

Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC
5440 N. Cumberland Ave., Suite 300
Chicago, IL 60656-1490
Main Line: 800-663-4707

Here are ways you can report this company:

Federal Trade Commision - The Federal Trade Commission does not investigate each individual complaint, but if they notice many complaints coming in on one company they will investigate them.

If you feel like they ave harassed you in several contacts with you report each contact as a separate complaint.

It is not up to you do decide if they broke the law in their contact. That is the job of the Federal Trade Commission to investigate claims.

Illinois Attorney General - The Illinois Attorney General is already suing them for violating collection Agency Laws. You do not have to be a resident of Illinois to report them.

Your State's Attorney General should also be notified if they have harassed you.

Better Business Bureau - File complaints with both the Chicago Better Business Bureau, because that is where they are located and with your local BBB.

You can search for "Leading Edge Recovery Solutions" to view the report AND file a complaint. The report states, "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to a pattern of complaints and has failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints."

The Federal Communication Commission - If they have called your cellphone with an automated dialer they fall under the same rules as telemarketers.

You can report them for violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act

No company should be allowed to continually robo-dial people like this.

P.S. I'm also very leery of the message I've seen posted that you can email help@leadingedgerecovery.com. I fear that is a scam too. If they do not stop calling me, I will email them, but I will do so from a brand new, totally anonymous email account.

P.P.S. If you've seen my post before, you better believe, I'm posting this information on any and every site I can find with complaints about this bottom feeding company. I'm apalled they are still in business.

Isn't it interesting that there are posts on numerous complaint forums that a simple email to the company will end the calls? This tells me that they KNOW they are just casting a large net and trying to dupe anyone they can. There have been so many complaints about them and so much bad press posted on complaint forums that they are trying to do damage control now (no doubt in an effort to stay in business). They are definitely NOT in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and this must be a concession they've had to make. "We'll notify people to email us and we'll remove them from the call list." Oh please.... Why would I trust that??

I've also dealt with Leading Edge. They're absolutely terrible. They use scare tactics and intimidation to try to get you to pay more money than you already are. I can't wait until I've finished paying them because their harassment is getting really old.

They called me today at work for a bill that (yes I owe and is already making payment with a law firm). When I try to get more information they were down right rude, put on hold only to get a rude supervisor, so I hang up on all of them. I cannot believe they are still in business.

debt collectors may not:
??? use threats of violence or harm;
??? publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts (except to a credit bureau);
??? use obscene or profane language; or repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone.
False statements. Debt collectors may not use any false or misleading statements when collecting a debt. For example, debt collectors may not:
??? falsely imply that they are attorneys or government representatives;
??? falsely imply that you have committed a crime;
??? falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit bureau;
??? misrepresent the amount of your debt;
??? indicate that papers being sent to you are legal forms when they are not; or
??? indicate that papers being sent to you are not legal forms when they are.
Debt collectors also may not state that:
??? you will be arrested if you do not pay your debt;
??? they will seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages, unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so, and it is legal to do so; or
??? actions, such as a lawsuit, will be taken against you, when such action legally may not be taken, or when they do not intend to take such action.
Debt collectors may not:
??? give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit bureau;
??? send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency when it is not; or
??? use a false name.

these are just some of the ways consumers are protected in the Fair Debt Settlement Act.
