I just got my credit report recently, and there is a VISDSNB account. I don't think I have opened that account, I wonder what is VISDSNB, so that I can close that account.

This is the information available on the credit report:
Address:
9111 DUKE BLVD
MASON, OH 45040
No phone number available

I would like to know why do I have a balance in my credit report

I recently got my credit report and I have the MCYDSNB and the VISDSNB on mine also. I think it is a major inconvenience that they don't have to post what bank or financial group they are from and an exact address and phone number so that we can all get to the bottom of this. We are googling the same thing and running into each other, sratching our heads.

i have a macy's account. i have both these accounts on my credit report. maybe when people sign up for credit cards, there should be in BIG print, that this puts TWO accounts on your credit report.

They did it to me as well. VISDSNB account showed up on my credit report.

Is this fraudulent??? It should be if someone is opening accounts in my name without my knowledge and reporting it to the CRA!!!! And it shows as available debt.

VISDSBN is Macy's Credit card (Visa) & "MACYS" is a Charge card. When you open a Macys Visa, you automatically open the Charge card. Thus, on one card, there are 2 account #'s. When you use your Macy's credit card at Macys, it's only used as a charge card & when you use it outside of Macy's, it's used as a credit card.

Found MCYDSNB in a recent check of EXPERIAN, and was able to understand it (I think) only due to info on this site. Thanks very much. My problem goes back to an old Shillito's to Lazarus to Macy hand-me down account that is never used anyway. Now I will close the account, which I should have done a long time ago. I will also notify Experian.

Both MCYDSNB and VISDSNB show up on my credit report also. I still want my Macy's account, I assume its the MCYDSNB account, but I do not want the other on there. How can I get just the VISDSNB off. I am new to all of this, so specific directions w/ addresses etc. of how to do would be great! Thanks

I would like to thank those leading me to Macy's. I also had a credit card for Visa issued by Macy's. I called the # listed here and discovered that when Stern's (another federated store)went bankrupt, Macy's took over and since I didn't want their credit card they issued me a stand alone Visa. This is back in 2001 and they transferred my credit history from Stern's to it.

Anyone with a credit card at a federated store beware, if the store goes bankrupt and Macy's takes over this is what they do.

Fortunately they closed it after 5 years of inactivity
Was so happy with my score last year I missed it.

Debby

Hi everybody! What I got from your comments is that we need to:
1) contact the CRA to dispute this account
2) contact macys to close this account.

Is that correct? What I still don't get -- do I actuallly awe somebody this money (the amount is ridiculous, btw, - 12 bucks)?

Both are from your one Macy's card.

VISDSNB=your out of store Visa purchases on your Macy's card

MCYDSNB=your in store Macy's card purchases

both are for the same address 911 Duke Blvd, Mason, OH. Just call 866-282-8697 (I spoke to the lost/stolen dept--not sure when I called what I was calling about) and they closed my VISDSNB account and are sending me a closing ltr in the mail and next time I run my credit report it will show up as closed. I am being re-issued a new store card for my MCYDSNB account that doesn't include the Visa out of store purchase option account so in the future there will be only one open entry in my credit report. Hope this helps someone out there.

I just refinanced and the refinancing company sent me 2 checks (2 different amounts) one for MCY DSNB (assumed it was my Macy's account and mailed in one of the check and another check for MCYDSNB for a different amount with the 9111 Duke Boulevard
Mason, OH 45040 address. I don't know who to mail this check to. Should I mail it to Macys and have them "refund" me because I overpaid my account? I don't know what else to do with this check. Thanks.

You might have gotten this card under another name. When i opened this account, the store was the Bon Marche. Then they got sold to Macy's, and it was called Bon Macy's, then it became just Macy's.

It must be a Federated account of sorts, maybe Macy's. The address is the exact same for a Bloomingdale's Visa and Federated owns both department stores.

I did a google search and here I am with the same problem. I have that VISDSNB on my credit report, and the dates coincide with when I opened my Macy's account. However, I've only ever had problems with this credit card and rue the day I ever got it. There is a store account and a Visa account - and their website is so difficult it looks like they don't want you to pay for it!

Get your free credit report - www.annualcreditreport.com from each of the national reporting agencies. 1 per every 12 months doesn't touch your credit score.

I just talked to the bank that does Macy's accounts, as I had these two entries (VISDSNB and MCYDSNB) as well. The guy's explanation confused me (he was reading from some script that seemed intended to confuse), but apparently the MCY item is indeed a Macy's account. The VIS is some random Visa account...he said something about it being invitational. Anyway, if you call them and find your way through the maze of automated menus, you eventually get to talk to someone who will close both your accounts.

I found MCYDSNB and VISDSNB on my report. I knew the MCYDSNB was Macy's and when I called to have that account closed they told me I had two accounts, one Macy's and one Visa and that they would close both. Letters are supposed to be in the mail, so I'll check the report again in a couple of months and see if they are both closed.

It is a Macy's account the reason there is several is that you have one account and they give you one that has deferred payments, one that is for more expensive items and the other is just a revolving account. I called today and had them close two of them.

This was showing up on my credit report also. I tracked it to be a Visa card linked to my Macy's credit card. You can call 1-800-537-0162 for information on your account or to close it. Good luck!

Yes, I definantely am wondering what a 4,000 credit card limit on my credit report for a card I have never had is. Same deal as the rest though. I recently signed up for a macy's card and it's for 1,000.00 and now I have a VISDSNB on my credit with a 4,000.00 limit. I am going to get this removed. How misleading!

It helps my credit score because it adds to my total credit. However, I don't know the terms or how to access this credit. From what I learned here, I will write to them and ask for the card.

When you apply for a Macy's card, they often automatically give you 2 connected accounts ... 1 is the Macy's card to the store. 2 is a Macy's Visa card that you can use elsewhere. If you call Macy's (as I just did) they will close it for you.

I figured out I got mine from opening a Bloomingdales account. Also I found an unsolicitated card after opening up a Boscov's account. It seems they are all jumping on the bandwagon.

I am befuddled. I am a divorce' and struggling to regain my credit that my ex ruined. I can't get any credit right now. I opened a Macy's acct. in 2004 and am finding this mysterious VISDSNB acct on my credit report. If there really is an open and available credit line from Visa there I could REALLY use it...how do I get that darn Visa card?!!

Call the number 1-866-593-2543 and select the Lost or Stolen option so you can get to a live operator in the credit department. Then you can get the account closed!

I have both of those on my report.

I know that: MCYDSNB is Macy's

I am still unclear of who this is: VISDSNB

What is federated banks? Maybe Military Star?

MCYDSNB was on my credit report and was Macys, I went on the website to get the customer service number for the Macy's credit card. Then called to close out the account. Which the account number was a Macys' number and it is now closed.

But I also have the visdsnb and still not sure what that one is.

In 1993 I got 10 percent off on a pair of clogs that I bought in a department store in Memphis. It wasn't Macy's (Hech's, I think, which is now Macy's) but apparently the card is still open. $0 balance and it is in the "good credit" section, so I'm not complaining. A couple of other things ... I'm complaining. I've NEVER lived in Augusta, GA. I have to find out why experian thinks I did.

I have a charge for $200+; haven't had Macy's in 15 years...sounds like a real issue and one I'm going to report to Macy's as well.

I too found this on my credit report and it is something if did not expect when I opened by Macy store card. This should be illegal to attach a second card to a store card without the consumers knowledge. I found a phone nubmer by doing a reverse address search for
    FACS Group
    9111 Duke Blvd
    Mason, OH 45040-8909
    (513) 398-5221
    Hope this helps others
