I just got my credit report recently, and there is a VISDSNB account. I don't think I have opened that account, I wonder what is VISDSNB, so that I can close that account.

This is the information available on the credit report:
Address:
9111 DUKE BLVD
MASON, OH 45040
No phone number available

I got MCYDSNB on my credit report with the same address as everyone has posted. I called experian and they put my account on watch. Do you think I should contact them or should I wait for a response from Experian first?

I've just got that on my cr. I did apply for a macy's acct and when I received that actual card it had a visa logo. I dont want that VISDSNB acct open. Should i have to close that macy's acct too?

I just pulled up my credit report and had the same info regarding VISDSNB and think this might be in direct correlation to opening a Macy's card at about the same time.

I also found MCYDSNB as open on my credit report although I never signed up for such card. After finding this site and reading the above entries - I wonder if my OLD Meier & Frank store card triggered it. Meier & Frank was purchased by the Federated Stores sometime before Macy's stepped in.
I guess, Macy's has extended the credit that I really do not want! I will cancel and dispute it.

I found this account on my credit report and didn't know what it was. It was my Macy's Visa account. My report showed the Macy's card (for store use only) and this Visadsnb (which is set up for any purchases outside of a Macy's store. So be sure to ask for BOTH accounts to be closed.

When you apply for a Macy's Department Store credit card they give you a Macy's card AND a VISA card. Two different account numbers. You may pay one bill however, there could be activity on the other acct. Don't ask me how this is legal. I got a call re: an $80 balance on the acct. being past due. I wasn't receiving statements or anything. It's completely unethical and alhtough it stinks, I'm glad I'm the not only one having dealt with this situation. I cancelled everything Macy's.

VIS- Visa
D- Department
S- Stores
N- National
B- Bank
this shows up with a macy's account if you look at a macys card it has a visa logo and can be used as any other visa card. if you use it at macys it goes on the MCYDSNB account and if you use it elsewhere it goes on the VISDSNB account. Hope this helps

I have just read all of your comments and you have eased my confusion. I did have a macy's card (which is federated).

Thanks for everyone's comments regarding this issue.

MCYDSNB shows up when you have a Macy's card. I suppose VISDSNB, as some of you suggested is either an erroneous addition by the Macy's people when you open an account or it is a deliberately tied product (which would be illegal under TILA). Regardless, I will dispute the VISDSNB issue and I suggest you do the same.

I saw VISDSNB on my report and thought someone had stolen my identity. I had it investigated through a CRA and removed. Afterwards, I found this page and have now realized that VISDSNB appeared at the same time as my MCYDSNB (Macy's card). They must be connected. Although I have no idea why Macy's would choose to open two separate accounts that connect to one card!?!

Ok I think I know whats happening. Atleast in my case I see a MCYDSNB also in my report that corresponds to Macy's card. As I recall Macy's open two cards for you one with Visa. I remember this as there was an issue once that they posted my payment on two this account my mistake. So I am pretty sure that this one corresponds to VISA card that Macys opened for you.

Hth,

Much to my suprise after i got a couple of letters in the mail from capital one concerning a possible fraudulent account opened in my name i got on the internet to retreive my free credit reports and you wouldnt believe the list of things someone had been trying to apply for in my name. Luckly i dont have the best credit seing as im still very young, so they only got one credit card in my name that i can see now. That one though is enough! I found on my report that they had applied for this Macys/DSNB but i dont think they were accepted? I am not sure. I was wondering if anyone knew about any way i could find out for sure if they did open an account in my name? I would greatly appreciate any infon anyone has to offer.
