I concur. These people are rude, and they dont follow the law. Ive asked them not to call at work and they have still called, as early as two days later. There has got to be a way to punish these people.

I've had a not-horrible experience with NES - I've worked with the same guy every time, he's never been rude, and he's accepting payments.

This thread has succeeded in scaring the crap out of me, though. :)

These people are unreal. I have only come across one guy who was decent when he spoke with us and made payment arrangements, but of course he left no notes in the system to what he agreed to.

The guy who called today was really nasty and told us he was sending us a summons and we would have to pay them 5000 in restitution. I have kept a very detailed log of my conversations with them. Figured it cant hurt. Also kept copies of all correspondance and money orders sent to them. Im just tired of dealing with them. Wish I had the money to just pay them off.

They have been calling me for the last 6 months talking about filing a judgement against me. I think that is one of their Biggest scare tactics against the debtor. It is a serious matter though, I mean they would really like their money. If I don't have it what can I do. There are people that own the National Enterprise System over $100,000. I am just wondering will they take time out to sue someone with just a few thousands dollars in debt. I don't think so. Beware this company has people with really good verbal skills that know how to get their money.

Oh my, these people are all over the net, they call like 6 to 7 times a day (no joke) and then when I try to call them back they hang up on my face. I just dont pickup the phone from "unknown callers" anymore and ive written a program that mutes the ringer on my phone whenever its them. Ive also reported them to the Attorney general and FTC, if enough people do this maybe something will get done. Also dont believe a word these people say, they have been saying I would get a summons for months now (even though I dont have a clue what for) its all a scare tactic.

If you feel like they have done something illegal, report them with this form.

Here's my long story short. Had a Sears CC, payments lapsed earlier this year (about 4 months). Made a payment to Sears online & then started getting calls from a Ms. Anniston (relation to Jennifer? ) from Central Credit Services. I called Sears & they told me the debt had been sold to Resurgent. I called Resurgent & got the particulars from them, told me if I were to make payments - they were to go to Central Credit Services. Did the DV letter, got the validation from Central Credit. Okay, made a $200 payment via cashier's check to Central Credit. Also sent them a cease and desist letter along with the payment. Then, interestingly enough roughly around the same time Central Credit Services got the cease and desist letter, "Mr. Parrish from NES starts calling me, left me a message claiming he's from their legal department and my claim is going through it's final review - hmmmmm it's the first time I heard from them, but yet my claim is going through it's final review? Right. My guess is once Central Credit got the c&d letter, they just transferred the account to another one of their companies so they could harrass me all over again. Remember when I said I sent a payment online to Sears? Well, I spoke with a woman in the internal recovery dept at Sears & she tole me I could still make payments online through them - the payments would then be forwarded to the collection agency. That's the route I'll go, since at least then I'll have a record of payments.

As far as I know its either Verizon or Sears. They are Junk debt collectors, dont pickup "Unknown Calls" and report their number to the FTC.
