I wondering if anyone has dealt with CashNet USA (CNU) any tips or info? They keep trying my checking account after I closed it and I notified them 2 paydays ago via 2 cert. RR letters, and that I will send payments via money orders. They have my balance up to 976.50 now and I have paid 260.00 that they are not giving me credit for. I am getting threaten they will ruin my credit - Not too hard since I am just hanging at a FICO of 600 (probably lower now)
Appreciate any advice or information anyone has.
Thanks
Tmzulu

I just got done dealing with a payment plan with them. They called finally after trying to run my payments through twice, once in total and once split in two. They only charged me one NSF fee and I was able to split the payments up into three and pay by moneygram.

The first lady I talked to when they started calling wasn't very friendly and tried to tell me I had to open a new checking account (yeah, okay).

The second guy set up the payment plan and was nice.

I would call them since they are legal and work out something.

cash net is the worst one - though some people on here think they act within the law. They were sent the letter revoking the ach on checking account. They still attempted to debit the amount 7 times, split into payments. They informed me that it was illegal for me to revoke it. They are not licensed in Louisiana. I actually checked the store fronts to see what their licenses look like and it isn't what cashnet has on their site. I've filed a complaint against them with the BBB and LA Financial Institutions. I always thought that they were the honest loan company, but I've found out the hard way that they are sneakiest and the lowest

You may want to check and see if they lent you money as a credit service organization or installment lender, if they did then they aren't required to be licensed as a payday lender, nor are they required to follow the payday loan laws.

oh I did - I faxed every single correspondance plus all of the debits out of my checking account they attempted, along with the fake license they have online (I compared it to the actual license issued by the state) and in their last email to me they informed me they were a member of the BBB - so I filed a complaint there as well.

I owe on 4 payday loans. I was doing a good job of paying them off. The economy is down because banks are not giving loans. Many people are turning to payday loans because they have no choice. Being in a slump economy is not your fault or anybody elses. There is a political struggle going on. I simply communicate with my creditors as much as I can (my schedule is busy). Cash Net USA is one of my creditors; and yes, they can be a headache. The main thing is to keep communicating with them and give them an Idea of when you may be able to make a payment. If you can't be precise, then you simply can't be precise. You don't have a magic wand to wave in the air and then money will fall in your hands. Your creditors will simply have to wait and if they are not satisfied with that, then they can take whatever action they want because they can't take those payday loans to court because of the high interest rates they charge. Stay relaxed, don't worry, and keep trying to work out the problem.
