cdollar: thanks so much for the info. Star Advance is VERY illusive but I do get responses from them when I email. I have just spoken with my bank, at length, and am on my way to close both my savings and checking accounts. I have done business with them for as long as I can remember and I am sure they will do what they can to protect me and my monies. Closing these accounts makes a lot of work for me as I have direct deposits from two different sources and I also have 7 "legitimate" ACH's which will need to be redirected. My bank assured me that once my accounts were closed, and after a few days, they would not be "forced" open due to ACH's. As most of my "illegal" ACH's won't come due until the 29th of this month and the lst of next, I have time to inform them of my intentions. However, Star Advance will be trying, and the key word being "trying" to take money on the 15th, they will be the first letter to go out early next week. I intend to fax it over for speed and also send a hard copy via the USPS. I also asked my bank about ACH's and paper checks. As all of my ACH's are attached to my savings account, with the exception of Pay Day Max, I think, and not my checking, paper checks are not allowed through savings accounts so that aspect of any question regarding committing a crime, is moot. Besides, 3 of 5 have been repaid for the principal so I feel I owe them nothing. I do feel better knowing that my money is safe and I will deal with the fall out later. Thanks again.

VB Mom. . .my banks accounts are now closed, my money is safe and it's Saturday. Now I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop and the kid gloves to come off. I work hard for my money, as does everyone else on here, and I am not about to just hand it over to anyone. Things might get sticky but it has always been my philosphy to go to the source first. . .it makes you look better in the long haul!

Just wanted to thank you guys for your words of encouragement. It sure does make this nightmare more bearable. I have never been one to back down from much of anything and I am not about to start now. I do feel that I am sleeping a little better now knowing that I am taking back control of my money and the situation as it stands. Holding off until Tuesday to make my move as I want to be sure that things go through my bank okay tomorrow as I did close my accounts on Saturday. I am chomping at the bit though as it is killing me not to hit the send button on the email I have prepared for Star. They have been pretty good about responding so I am hoping for the best. It's snowing here so I will take the day to prepare and tweak the other 4 letters I need to get ready. Also in the process of preparing an email for Senator Alessi to beg him to make some moves on this PDL stuff. I do hope that the bad pub will expose these snakes.
