I received a voicemail today from a woman named Kathleen Robinson with United Cash Loans at 800-410-9275. She stated that I needed to contact her today by 5pm to avoid further processing. When I called the united cash loans phone number, they answered. Has anyone spoken with this woman and is she really calling from UCL or does she really work for a CA representing UCL?

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to pay them off call a week early if you have to and then run. I would also close that bank account. I dont trust this company they just keep on taking. What state are you in? KYSIDE38

Please let us know what state you are in. Renewals are illegal in many states! This company will suck you dry. Go to the bank and close your account-but before you close it find out their policy on ACH debits coming through on closed accounts. Some banks allow them to go through and this reopens the account and then you are stuck with NSF fees and that could create a whole new problem. If the bank says they do allow this, ask them to put a hard hold on it so no debits can come through, and then close it and open an account at a NEW bank. This will get UCL out of your wallet and put you back in charge of your money.

Also if you want to check the laws in your state you can go to www(dot)paydayloaninfo(dot)org and look it up. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

Back in June my husband and I filled out a request ofr a PDL online. He received a call the following day from United Cash Loans requesting further information and a number to contact his employer. A few days later the $300 was deposted into our checking. We have never received anything in writing from this company and we never formally accepted this PDL. They took $90 once a month and then started taking $90 every two weeks. My husband called them and they stated that they do not have a record of them sending us an email or confirmation for the loan but we still have to pay it. I'm not sure what to do with this because we never agreed to the terms of the loan. We are in the state of Ohio and by Ohio law PDL's can not be renewed. Does anyone have any advise??

How much have you paid them back so far? Could be that you really have already paid them in full. If they are renewing your loan, then they are breaking the law. Let us know how much you have paid them and it might turn out that you technically have already paid them in full, including interest.

I got a $300 loan from United Cash in MAY of 2007 and they are still debiting me. I tried to tell them, after the 3rd renewal, that they'd taken enough money from me to re-pay my debt and should call it good.

To date I've paid these people almost $900 for a $300 loan!!!!!!! They are set to take $110 from me on the 14th of this month and I just can't afford it anymore!

I'm in the state of Colorado where more than 1 renewal is ILLEGAL, and also in the Army so thought they could only take so much from me before I could get them in trouble?

HELP ME!!!!

 They are RUDE as hell!!!!

I called them to explain that I've paid $625 for a $300 loan and that I stopped payment on this weeks Debit because legally they couldn't renew a loan 7 times, like they have.

She (can't remember her name) said: "I am NOT one of your kids so do not talk to me like that! You will listen to ME, I am trying to talk, so listen!"

 I was like "Lady I am NOT speaking with you any longer, I have a consult appt. with JAG this Thursday and you can take it up with the Army!"

She tried to tell me that the laws where they are (Oklahoma, which is where we lived when we applied for the loan) governs what they can and can't Debit from us.

Now I thought laws regarding our loan were based on where we lived not where the Loan Co. was?!?!

UGH this is making me nervous. JAG says they have to see the paperwork from our Loan App. to see if they can even help us. :?

Okay, if this is actually a "real" employee of this wonderful company, they want us to take them seriously? With this type of person working there? Oh my, how so very professional and "up front". Please........... And we wonder why we get retarded emails from them. Check it out! And for us to "get it together"? Ummm... go back to school, friend.

nicole, you probably received an email from a pdl. We are not a pdl company. We are a debt consolidation forum and we try to help people out of getting pdls. If you need any information, you may feel free to post. However, this is not a site where you would receive a pdl.

I borrowed $250 and they have taken well over $600 and instead of every two weeks as I had originally requested, they 've been deducting differnt amounts every week causing all of my checks to bounce. Two weeks of my pay checks have gone on them and on bounce check fees. What I found out was to close your bank account and open a new one. they cannot touch you and since they are not legit they cannot take you to collections.

Good Luck

i took out a $300.00 loan with united cash loans in june and the amount to be paid back over time was $390.00 . which are debits from my account of $90.00 a month. it is now november and they are still debiting money out of my account every month and the loan is paid back. i also did the same thing with 500 fast cash loans because i was having hard times and the loan was set up the same way and they are doing the same thing. this loan was also taken out in june and it is now november.this loan is also paid in full. what can i do to get my money back or stop them from debiting my account when these loans have been already paid in full. i am a 82 year old woman on a fixed social security account.

addie, both United Cash Loans and 500 Fast Cash are unlicensed/illegal lenders. They are d/b/a's of MTE Financial. Your best bet, and I know it stinks, it to close your bank account. These guys are horrible. They will continue to debit your account forever. You will also need to file complaints against them. File with the BBB, the FTC, and the state AG. You have more than likely overpaid both of these pdls; however, they're hard as you-know-what to get a refund from.

A person from United Cash Loans left a meesage on my answering machine that I need to call them back and provide a landline number so they can process my loan.

1. I never applied for a loan and have never heard of them.
2. They left the message on my land line?????
3. I'm nervous that my ID has been compromised as I have recently had found some nasty spyware on my computer.

So, I called them back at the number they provided (1-800-279-8511). The message was from a woman named Pat.

I talked to a service rep and when they asked for my social security number, I told them that I would not give them that information, as I don't know who they are. I explained that Pat had called me and left a message to call her back. She (Tracey) that she could not help me because I'm not giving her my personal information. I told her that I could give her the number that Pat used to contact me. She said that wasn't good enough. I asked if she know who Pat was and she said that she did. I asked to be transferred to Pat and she told me that I can't contact Pat. Only Pat can call me. I asked to speak to her manager and she said that I couldn't because I wasn't a customer. I asked to be put in contact with their legal department, and she agian refused.

I still extremely nervous that my ID has been compromised, but I'm not sure what to do aabout it. Any suggestions?

Jim

jim, if you notice ANY deposits made to your account, have them returned immediately. If this does happen, close your account and open a new one, as they may have your bank account information. Check every single day to see if anything has been deposited into your bank account.

Hi everybody,

I live in PA and took out a loan with UCL for $300.00 back in April of this year. Since then I've had 625.00 deducted from my bank account. Now they are still calling saying I have a balance of 65.00 that they ofcourse need immediatley. I have paid back double what I borrowed and feel I shouldn't pay back anything else. They refuse to listen. Should I pay them or are they ripping me off? Thanks.

Jim

flyer, honey, they are ripping you off. First of all, in PA, pdls are prohibited. However, an internet lender will be "allowed" if they are licensed SOMEWHERE. This company is unlicensed, which means illegal. You have overpaid them $325.00 and they want another $65.00. Hell, no. They owe you a refund.

jim, if you could register as a member of the site, we can 'pm' each other. This is called 'private message'. TMBL or anyone can send you a letter to use through 'pm'. Can you register as a member & then we can 'pm' you? :D

What do I do if this is all just starting to happen to me? I recently took a loan out for $150 and was due to pay $195 on January 25, 2008. I did all the right steps to ensuring this bill was paid off but they only debited $45 from my account and said that i still owed $195 on February. There is no direct way to ensure they received my letters, emails, etc. How can I protect myself from them? I'm already going to close my bank account...should I change my phone number? They have my SSN too...please help!

Hello,

I have the same issues with this company as well as another. Can someone send me the letter I should be sending to this PDL?

Looks like I will have to close my account.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

I have 3 payday loans. I live in TN.

Below are the three lenders, amount deposited, and amount paid to this point:
SSM - 300/360
Flash Loans - 400/480
United Cash Loans - 300/380

I looked on http://www.paydayloaninfo.org and it appears that none of these are licensed in TN. One, SSM, I did not sign papers for. It appears from what I can tell (which is not much since I do not receive any updated information from the lender) that they are continuing to roll them over.

Below is the information from TN:

Quote:

Legal Status: Legal

Citation:
Tenn. Code Ann. ????45-17-101 et seq.

Loan Terms:
Maximum Loan Amount: $500
Loan Term: Max: 31 days
Maximum Finance Rate and Fees: the lesser of 15% of the check or $30
Finance Charge for 14-day $100 loan: $17.65
apr for 14-day $100 loan: 459%

Debt Limits:
Maximum Number of Outstanding Loans at One Time: 3 (2 per licensee)
Rollovers Permitted: None (cannot renew or otherwise consolidate)
Cooling-off Period:
Repayment Plan:

Collection Limits:
Collection Fees: One $30 NSF Fee; Court Costs
Criminal Action: Prohibited

I have looked over this thread and think I should do the following:

Where to Complain, Get Information:
Regulator: Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions
Address: 511 Union Street, Suite 400 Nashville TN 37219
Phone: (615) 741-2236
Fax: (615) 532-1018
Regulatory Contact: Bart Daughdrill,
http://www.tennessee.gov/tdfi/

Close bank account if possible
If not possible, ask bank to cancel withdrawals

Is this correct?

Also, how do I know if I have paid enough? Or, does it matter since I have paid at least the principal on all and they are not licensed in TN?

Thanks for the help!

This firm is a real rip-off. I want to pay off my loan in full and I have emailed them the form that they require to let me do so. However, they will not verify that they have received this special "form" and no phone number is listed on the paperwork. I am going to complain to the Attorney General of Ohio about this bogus firm. Meanwhile, they can keep charging me over 300% interest! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

KinOH,

Go To unitedcashloans.com/ and click Contact Us. Ask them to email your user name and password. After receiving, log in and change your payment frequency to pay in full. This worked for me, they took the full amount on Friday.

Good news from me! I got my income tax and paid all of my loans from SSM LLC, United Cash Loans, PayDay Select off. Also, I sent a message to Flash Loans with the law and they cleared my loan out immediately -- $520.00! Yeah!

Thanks to everyone who posts here -- this has already saved me 520.00 or more. Also, I did not know how to contact this darn SSM LLC until looking here since they do not post anything on online.

Only one more left and I can put this behind me, yeah!

Rhonda

I too have taken out a payday loan with UCL, I never got a confirmation email or a phone call or anything. They just kept taking out of my account. I put a stop payment on them and they somehow were able to write a phony check for 480... my bank is going to go after them for this but in the mean time I am out the money. Does anyone know if they are licensed in the state of NY?

Personal e-mail id removed as per forum rules. - Jason

I Live in NY also. NY prohibiuts pdls. None are legal here. Putting a stop paymnet never works, that is why we advise closing your account and opening a new one. They will change names, amounts, aor as in your case put thru a paper check. Also ucl is part of MTE and they are not licensed anywhere. You are only morally obligated to repay the principle amount borrowed. Again. none of these loans are legal here in New York.
