I received a voicemail today from a woman named Kathleen Robinson with United Cash Loans at 800-410-9275. She stated that I needed to contact her today by 5pm to avoid further processing. When I called the united cash loans phone number, they answered. Has anyone spoken with this woman and is she really calling from UCL or does she really work for a CA representing UCL?

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im in CA and receiving nasty phone calls and emails, I was desperate for cash thats why I got the $300 loan with UCL - i so regret it now, I have not kept track of what i paid them, but they are threatening now, can the legally prosecute? Are they legal in CA?

I made a payment with United Cash Loans for $135 which cleared through my bank. Another $105 was taken out a couple of days later, overdrawing my bank account. I asked them about it and United Cash Loans told me that I made arrangements to pay that $105. ??? All I remember was making an arrangement to pay $135! Where that other $105 payment came from is a mystery to me, that only United Cash Loans say is a legitimate payment! Does anyone know what to do on this, because United Cash Loans say it's what I made arrangements for. ???

I am recently a victim of ID Theft (02/09) and the jerks took out a loan with United Cash Loans...I found out when they called me today for payment. I gave them the Police Rpt No as well as the Det's name and tele. They want me to fax them the rept. Not doing that and not giving them more of my info. They need to call the Police. I have impeccable credit and to deal with their idiots makes me sick to my stomach. I have filed Fraud with the 3 bureaus and the FTC. I wonder what will happen next? and what I need to do now? I told them to have their Fraud Dept contact the Det, but that does not seem to do any good. Give me strength!

What do I really do to get these people off my back. I have told them over and over I have no money . They threatened me with a lawsuit. I got a 200.00 loan and paid well over 700.00 into it. I had to closed one account and open another because they drained me of my funds. On the interenet they are ripoff scam people. This has to stop. Again they called me on my regular phone and my cell phone. I want it stopped, what do I do? First i get a nice person who says when you have it, call me, then i get this nasty person who threatens me. It must stop.

file AG,FTC,and BBB complaints.this is an illegal loan that you have more than paid off.go to the payday loan help forum.there is a sticky at the top as to how to deal with illegal lenders.follow that and don't give them another dime.in fact you should get a refund of the overpaid amount.again,do not give this illegal pdl another dime as you have overpaid them.

This is the biggest rip off out there! I tried to pay my loan off on the due date a discovered that I owed an additional $90 because I needed to have contacted them before my due date to pay off my loan to avoid that lovely fee. These people are rude, and completely out to take you for everything they can get. DON'T USE THEM!!!

Hi everyone, I am new here, just wanted to let all of you know that I called United Cash Loans regarding doing business in California and I asked them for their CA license # and they refused to give it because I would have to be a client before they release that info. I told him, that is illegal, I have a right to know and confirm the validity of the business I am about to get involved with. He told me, that is their policy. I told him I would let the State of CA know that they refused to give a license #. Hope this helps.

I just applied for a loan through them and read this site only after I had done so. After reading what you all have been through I want to cancel my request. I know that it states in the contract that you can do so, but I am looking for any advice that anyone has to make sure this actually happens. HELP

Thanks for the wonderful information on the site. Just found out that from the $300 loan I took out, my accout has been debited for a total of $910. Just found out today. Now its to early in the morning to call, but called my bank and the are sending me some froms to fill out for fraud. Also I plan to report them to the Attorney Generals office here in PA and OK. Thanks for the number 1-800-279-8511 the are open 8am central time. Does anyone have any records of being able to retrieve their over payment. I am so upset, I might hire an attorney to personally go after them. Any insight will be helpful. I leave in PA.

I made a huge error using UCL I needed $$ quick to keep my house and took me fro april to July to pay in full. Hard lesson but needed to pass it on. On $350 they took 105.00 every other week until 4th pymt then took $155.00. They are friendly until you call to pay in full then I was called a B when I said it was a rip off and I was reporting them. I live in IN . God Bless us all in the USA a dishonest company can use the poor to get rich!

the UCCC's more important provisions are given below. Maximum Rates
The Indiana Uniform Consumer Credit Code limits the amount of finance charge a creditor in Indiana can receive.

Credit Sales / Loans

The following rates can be charged on credit sales or loans effective 07/01/04:

36 % on amounts financed up to $990, plus
21 % on the portion of the amount financed from $990.01 to $3,300,
plus 15 % on the portion of the amount financed over $3,300; or
21%, whichever is greater.
A seller/lender can collect a minimum

Does anyone know where this scumball company actually exists? They refuse to accept my e-mail responses aclaim I still owe them $530 on a $300 loan. They won't get it, since my bank has cut them off. But, if anyone has a mailing address for these crooks, please e-mail it to terrance.quinlan@yahoo.com.

UCL is run on the lands of the Miami Indian tribe in OK
I elieve they are in an agreement with the Modoc tribe and run both the loan and collections together on this "soverign" land however they have signed off to folow the federal guidlines and that would include the fdic they are in total violation of all laws and claim they dont have to adhere to the laws because they are indians.

pisses me of because the "sticking it to the white man" mentality s so wrong and gives good business' that many tribes run a bad name. Start calling the Miami tribes chief (its on their website and complain everytime they call you(

call the bia in your area to complain

I recently found myself in the middle of a financial crunch after losing everything. United Cash Loans deposited a $300 loan in my bank account. I apparently missed some very important details in the "fine" print. In the past 5 weeks they have deducted $360 from my bank account and are still billing me with a balance of $390.00!!!!! How can this be legal??? Does anyone have any advice?

Just wanted to say that i took a loan out with them also and when they started taking out charges that were not authorized by me, I told my bank and they closed my account and put a block on it also to make sure that no charges came through. Then when i started to get emails from them, i did the re- payment plan (without giving them my banking acct. info), just my check card info and if they start taking charges that were not agreed on then i am able just to cancel that card number and get issued a new one- which they will not have access too. That is working so far but i did have to change my phone number because i could NOT get them to stop calling!!!! It is a pain in the a**, but it sure made my home ALOT quieter!!!! If i had to do it all over, it is definitely NOT worth the temporary solution that it provides. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!

You gave them your check card number? Hopefully your plan works; but I don't know, considering how tricky UCL is, I'd keep a very, very close watch on my account; once they get into your account and grab more money than agreed upon, there's not a whole lot anyone can do about it. But good luck, and keep us posted how this works out.
