it is one of two things.
1)they want to try to get you to settle
2)they want to give you misinformation to get a default judgement.
go to court,present your side and see what happens.this is a bottomfeeder extraordinaire.i wouldn't trust them at all.

No, there's no law saying the CA can't call after they've filed a lawsuit. Unless you've previously sent them a C&D -- then they can only call to tell you of some specific action they intend to take.
