I am having some serious borderline harassment issues with the company, Cash Today Limited. They are calling me at work about every 15 minutes or so and are ignorant to the fact that I've told them a million times that I have filed (am filing) bankruptcy. They wouldn't give me a physical address and are calling from this number: 442084922780. They are leaving messages for me to call them back at 800-670-4705, but there is a constant busy signal at that number. The lady keeps telling me even if I'm filing bankruptcy I have to pay them an extension fee of 237.00.

I have told her about 20000 times NOT TO continue calling me at work and she just yells at me and tells me she'll keep calling until I pay them.

PLEASE HELP! If anyone knows an address for them that I can give to my attorney I would greatly appreciate it!

Ok, so the plot thickens.... If you recall I was going to stop the funds from being withdrawn from my bank, as they have taken $1027 in extension fees, which I did. Ah... and now they decided to contact me back... funny funny.. Since I have left several messages and called several times to never reach and agent with no results to try to stop the loan!!! So.. I spoke to an Indian gent by the name of "DAN SMITH".. No offense.. But if your name is Ranjith or Upendra, then go by it.. Please don't insult my intelligence... Dan advised he was calling to see if I wanted to pay off or extend my loan.. I said I am done with the loan that I have made several attempts to contact them to do so and they never replied so I did what I had to do on my end and he said I can not do that.. and sorry that you did not reach us.. but so sorry so sad.. Give us $279.00 and we will close your account.. I said your crazy no way.. and he replied like a robot.. Ok.. Lets do $200.00 and finally got down to $100.00 and I asked to speak to his supervisor.. Then "STEVEN".. ha ha got on the line and told me this was a verbal contract and refused to send me anything in writing.. or speak to his manager.. Can you imagine.. I am so STUPID   So I told them to stop calling me that I would only accept communication from them in writing which he refused to do, he said they will still call me.. I did manage to get collection department # for those who are looking.. Can not promise it works 1-800-670-4075.. Also their mailing address is as follows:
CASH TODAY LTD
1005 TERMINAL WAY
SUITE 110
RENO NEVADA 89502

Did I do the right thing or am I gonna be in more trouble??? uggggg.....

I had a friend who took out a loan with these people, the thing that she had no problem with was not paying them back even the finance fees. She had a problem with the 20 and more phone calls, harrassment, telling everyone who answered the phone her personal information, and them not listening to her. The thing is that she simplying asked them to stop calling at her work and that she would contact them. She had to call the local police to help her to make them stop calling. SO this company goes beyond the normal collection habits!

Ok, so I was soooooo mad :x after the other day and more so embarrassed that the conversation with ???Dan Smith??? AKA Srithar, was at my work!!!! (again no disrespect to our Indian friends) I ponder the whole thing for a bit and decided to file an official complaint with BBB.org! I am sure these scammers are so used to people's threats that I decided to make good on it. I will keep you all posted as to my results.

I also made the HUGE mistake of accepting a $200 loan from these people. So far, I have paid back $952. They keep withdrawing different
amounts ...$79...$40...$240...$35. The 800 number is no help at all! I paid it off after 2 weeks, but they keep taking payments! After some intensive research, I think I finally found them. They are LAD Financial Services in Reno NV. The email address is: larryt(at)lad.com. The telephone numbers are:
phone: 775-856-3136
fax: 776-856-3016
I told good old Larry that I will be more than happy to spend 10 times the amount I have already spent just to go out there and settle this in person! I hope somebody can use this information. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Thanks! The link to the documents doesn't work, but at least I know which direction to go. One thing though...why does LAD have the same address AND suite number?

The secret about a payday loan company called cash today limited is a legit loan shark organization run by Indian employees who constantly targets people who have applied for a loan and give them meesly $200 to wire in your bank account. The worst part is they charge you an interest of $79 which they will give an option of either to extend the loan for $79 or to pay it full which is $279 (the amount that you borrow plus the interest fee). Even if you do want to buy time to make payoff the full balance, they will aggressively keep taking $79 out of your bank account which leads you to a financial disaster. The trick is to close your checking account but they will continue to harass you about their money. Eventually they will stop calling you and forget about you for a while.

If you ask for their address, they won't give it to unless you have to pay to them too. But when you call their number and hear an automated intro, you'll hear a female with a British accent which gives you a very good hint that their organization is somewhere in England. Payday loans a virtually impossible to get out of once you stumble into them. Be wary of them, they are like tigers that had in the grass to get their prey???YOU!!

the subject of cash today/ics is covered in many threads on this forum. Read in particular, the posts in this forum, and all forums dealing with Heathmill.

In short, this company has a very sketchy record and is a party to many questionable and likely illegal practices ( note that this is my opinion, based on a review of consumer complaints and a knowledge of state, federal and international law, and not). There are many steps your sister-in-law can take to protect herself. if you have questions after reading the recommended threads, please and them here and will will do our best to assist you

This company is absolutely nuts! They refer on their front page that the electronic signature is covered under Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act enacted by the FTC (A United States Governing Body) but yet they do not have to abide by US laws and policies... absolute garbage. Now I have a question for the experts on this matter. Just because I signed the agreement to not participate in any class action law suits would that include my spouse? She has been harrassed over and over and her name is in all of my financial affairs yet she did not agree to any of this. Can SHE participate in something if it ever occurs?

I needed one of those payday loans and I did an online search and this company came up doing the payday loans in 1 hour. It was just $200 and they did the $79 thing and blah blah blah, usual stuff.

This was yesterday afternoon and as I'm looking into my checking account they money is still not there. I was tempted to call them to see what is up, but I did another online search for CTL and came across this website.

oh crap.
What can I do if the S*** start hitting the fan?

update:

I went back into my history and found the website I applied for the loan on. it is ipaydayloans.com and it was a general application and they put us in touch with the "best" lender out there. It sounds like that, unfortunately, the best one was Cash Today Limited.

I put a fraud alert on my credit report yesterday, due to a separate incident with a local college having a lap top stolen, so maybe that'll help me out there. But we'll see!

just called and left a message. It was a message saying, several times, to cancel and I do not want the money as I found out I don't need it, etc etc.

It is scheduled to go into my account at somepoint and I'm hoping my bank can also work with me as well.

Funny that I went on to ipaydaylending.com and when I went into contact, there was a link saying "I have not received my funds yet". So I clicked that and it had me enter my address. It said your application has been sent to Intermational Cash Company with their 800 number. I called the number and they don't even have any of my information! They claimed they had no idea who Cash Today Limited was. So I called the "customer service" number when I was talking to CTL and all I was able to do was leave a message.

I'll keep you all updated on how this turns out.

yeah I've learned my lesson.

Update: I called CTL earlier today to verify they cancelled my loan request and indeed they did! Guy I talked to had an Indian accent, but was actually friendly. I'm just hoping that a few weeks from now they don't come after me saying I owe $2,000 from various past loans or something like that and they need it that very second.

I myself took at a $200 loan from Cash Today back in November 2005. I wanted to pay the amount of the loan off in December, but the phone number I was given only allowed voicemail messages to be left. I selected ALL the options and it goes directly to voicemail. I even sent a letter to the Reno, NV office and never got a response.

In the meantime, they were still deducting $79 from my account which caused me to acrue NSF fees which caused my account to go into a negative status. So, in January 2006, I did a stop payment for the $79 (company attempted to take $79 in three payments on the same day). Then, they changed the amount to take out which I didn't authorized.

I had wanted to close out my account before, but I couldn't because of the NSF fees. Then, just this past Friday, CTL debited $79, $199, and another $199. I was able to get the $79 back due to the stop payment. So, Friday I went to my bank and closed that particular checking account and was able to open up another.

I wanted to find out was there another way to contact CTL. So, I typed in the search bar, and I came to this forum. I wish I had found this months ago. But you live and you learn. My bank told me they were going to dispute the withdrawals that were not $79 and I should get those amounts back. It would be nice, but if not, I'll just be glad not to fool with them or any other payday loan (especially on the Internet) again.

if you block cash todays company code id which is
ID # 1547735692 then that will stop them from taking any money from your account. if there is any trace of money taken out of your account from cash today, your bank will file a claim or fraud claim. that will shut there party down

This firm has been hounding me for months to obtain around $800 they say I owe but in actuality only owe $200. A person call "Olla" has been harassing me at work even though I have told him to quit and that my job is getting upset because I keep getting calls from him and he is calling the personnel office. Olla has even threatened to come to my work and take care of business. There was even mention of "bombings". I told him that our conversations were recorded even though they were not. The personnel lady at my work spoke to a "Joe" who stated they were going to garnish my wages. She told him he had to get a court order. Even though "Joe" promised I would not receive anymore calls, "Olla" has continued to call me at my work. Once on January 16, 2006 and again on March 17, 2006.

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from the BBB, as I filed my complaint with them on 03/16 and I have not heard anything from them? I am still getting dunning calls from the "Devil" and some even at 9:27 pm, which I thought they could not do after 9pm... These people are ruthless

So, the mail came yesterday and I received a letter from the BBB. NO LUCK.. I need to contact legal council. They are basing their response on an e-mail from Cash 2Day LTD, that 1. Seems personal like the two are friends 2. Proves nothing... I am so bummed! They just said I am in default. They said nothing about my attempts to contact them with no returns. How could I have stopped them from taking the fees or pay them off if they don't return my calls. But I guess to the BBB that does not mater and the fact that I paid them $1027.00 in fees means nothing. I told them I would be happy with calling it even.. UGGGGGGG.

This exemplifies why I said in a postpost yesterday (at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/debtbuyer-myths.html) that reporting to the BBB doesn't do much good. As long as the company you are complaining about in some way acknowledges the complaint, the BBB won't do anything, and continue to give them a good report.

The Only reason Cash2day probably even acknowledged this complaint is they are under growing pressure in the US, and they have to look like they are at least trying.

At the very minimum the BBB should have done something about them calling at odd hours.

This company has withdrawn 855.00 from my account against a 200.00 cash advance because they did not take it out when I requested. They continually call my work saying I still owe 259.00 to close this account. I have filed a claim with the Federal Trade Commission and have told them that but they continue to call my work and they continue to try and take money from my account which I have stopped my direct deposit and I am going to close out my account today.

Hey all. I came across this thread after doing a google search on the +442084922780 phone number. Yesterday I was called twice on my cell phone by someone with an Indian accent and again just now. They keep asking to talk to a woman whom I've never heard of. This last time my wife answered the phone and the guy got the impression it was her.

I got this cell phone number back in December, so I can only assume that the previous owner of the number did business with them and they are trying to get in contact with her now. What do you all think the best course of action is here... put a block on that number maybe?

Thanks!
