I was just sent a letter asking to join a secret "Nouveau Tech" society. I'm not going to do it - the letter reeks of a scam.

However, I just was wondering if anyone else has gotten this kind of letter - it is kind of creepy.

Just some flattery in a letter designed in the end to part you from your hard cash. I do not need the junk in my mail box, enough already!

yeh. i too got the letter at the same po box which my mother received hers. isn't that a dead giveaway that their whole "secret" society is a crock o horse manure. it seems like this kind of scam mail is becoming more popular by the day. my brother in law is actually still dealing with the authorities about a sweepstakes mailing scam that screwed him over last month. I wasnt even going to read this letter but I just had to let my curiousity peak. it makes me sick that their are scumbags out there willing to prey on even the most poverty-stricken. no sense of decency.

Glad I found this. I,too, got the letter 10/5/05. I figured it was at best a marketing scan or at worst a satanic cult. Seems to be a little of both. I suspected right away that Kevin Trudeau had something to do with this, since they tried to sell me 10 things when I called to order the book. I beleive some of what he says is true, but I take it all with a grain of salt. By the way, I trust God over any "secret society" anyday.

I got one of these letters also. Am glad I checked this out. Am distressed to hear Kevin Trudeau is involved. Bought his book. Agreed with him, however when I went to his website he charges a large fee just to view it. He is no better than those he blasts. Apparently it's all about the money for him too.

I received a letter from the "secret" Nouveau Tech Society today. The letter says to either fax or mail no later than TODAY before I go into my "second stage". A total stranger would know what "stage" I'm in??? I wondered why the letter was signed if it was so "secret". The wording of the letter is unreal.....but I kept on reading til the end. It has always been my experience that if it is free there is something later on that will cost money. I threw the letter in the trash after finding your site. I letter is not an original, just a copy printed cheaply on both sides. Thank you for alerting the public that this is an all-out scam. I hope more people who receive this phony letter will research it and send it in to be scammed later.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

PLEASE, PLEASE stop asking silly questions such as, "Oooh, how is Kevin involved?" and "Is Kevin a part of this scam?" HELLOOOO?? Kevin is not directly involved with that stupid letter. Most likely, his company(NOT Kevin himself personally) sold marketing lists from all the buyers of his "Natural Cures" book. What this means is various mail companies pay others money for our names and addresses. I'm sure Kevin's company has sold our names to MANY different mail-order firms. He himself has no idea what they sell or do. This has been going on for many eons, as this is nothing new. EVERY time you receive an advertisment, a catalog, or even a credit-card appliciation, it means your PUBLIC info has been SOLD to the solicitor. As I already stated, this has been going on for decades! So stop getting all flustered and quit personally blaming Kevin for that marketing letter. The ONLY info they have on you is your name and address. Rest assured, the next letter or sales pitch you get in the mail will be because Nouveau in turn sold your info once again. It's a never-ending cycle, and Kevin didn't start or invent it! And his book's cures ARE substatiated. The FDA will never admit it because you cannot patent an herb or natural cure. Which by the way, have been used in my family and many friends for years! I haven't been sick in over 12 years! READ THE WHOLE BOOK, AND ALWAYS REMEMBER that the FDA and FTC are only after money- not our wellness! THEY DO NOT WANT ANY ILLNESS CURED! In this day and age with all the techno. advances, don't tell me we can't cure diabetes or cancer! These cures have been around for years, only to be cloaked by the very people (FDA/FTC)that are supposed to look out for our best interests! The last time any real disease was cured was in the 1940's when Jonas Salk cured Polio. So don't tell me we haven't come up with even ONE cure since then! PUh-leeze! I HOPE KEVIN'S BOOK PUTS THE THOUSANDS OF CANCER SOCIETY'S MEMBERS OUT OF THEIR CUSHY JOBS!! DO NOT TRUST THE GOVERNMENT OR GOV AGENCIES!!!! THEY HAVE SPENT TOO LONG KEEPING US SICK WITH DISEASE!

<<>>>

What does that have to do with the book? No matter what, the truth is the truth. Jail time does not change his book being right! And all the cures are there, BTW..You people have to read the entire thing from start to finish. Don't jump around looking for the cures. They're in the book, you just need to read the chapters as written. Seems like some people here are too dumb and impatient to understand what he means. Ever think that there are negative websites about the book out there because the FDA and FTC and other "officials" are scared of what Kevin is trying to teach you? Those sites are PLANTED because the various agencies are shaking in their boots!!!!They know the cures work, and they know that people will believe almost everything they read. Just because it's a website manned by a "Govmnt Agency", does not make it the gospel truth. If they have been telling us the truth, then we would not be as sick as we are today. Ask yourself just one Q..If milk and dairy products help prevent osteoporosis, then why are we the nation with the highest amount of women suffering from it? Why then, in other places like Japan and Fiji, and Africa the people consume almost NO milk or dairy whatsoever. And these nations have some of the lowest osteoporosis percentages. In fact, osteoporosis is almost unheard of in many other countries!! You see, our government once again has you all duped! Our gov SUBSIDIZES the dairy farmers/industry!! The have lots of $$$ to lose if people were to stop drinking milk. So they lie to us and say its good for our bones! HA! Also, we are the only species of animals(Humans) to drink the milk of another species(Cows). We are also the only species to drink milk after being weaned! (Dogs and cats do not count because we pervert them!) Think about all this and wake up! Ask questions! Get reading alternative books and get involved. Stop believing everything you see and read so easily! (Especially the new media!) Oh, and the calcium in cows milk is too coarse for our bodies to absorb, anyway!! The answer is always money for our government! By keeping us sick by buying pills and fast food, we will be too tired to ask Q's later!!!! I only say these things cuz I care about people..God Bless..

Oh my god!!! I am getting the heck outta here!!! You people have got to be the dumbest of the lot!!! You all are the worst I've ever seen!! No common sense, the same q's over and over, with not even half a brain to tell you to look back on this thread and read previous posts!! One ditz is talking about how her husband had to prove to her the letter was a fake, and mispelled "stupid" (stuped)
Wake up, you uneducated, gullible zombies!! There is nothing "creepy" or "spooky" about that letter unless you thought it was for real and are now crushed to read about it being a scam!! For those of you who even thought for a nano-second the letter was valid, why don't you make this easy and each of you fools send me your paychecks. (endorsed to me, of course)
It will save you a lot of time and heartache, and head-scratching from bewilderment..and I'll put the $$$$ to good use, and donate it all to miss cleo and her psychic friends b4 you all do! Idiots!

JW,

You are yet another example of an idiot!! If you were to read, read, read, read, read, read, the front page of kevin's site,(or book!) You would've seen he only charges $10.00 (that's ten)dollars for a 1(one) month membership!!! Or is the $10 exceeding your budget???? A large fee???? Lol!! You people tick me off!!! This is my last post, cause I'm sick of clarifying facts for those of you too stupid or lazy to fully read posts, books, etc in their entirety!!!!! I"m gone and I pray
For you all to start thinking for yourselves and using your head!!! I'm going to leave because I'm having a difficult time that people are this stupid!! It makes me mad to see the same, redundant q's!! Good riddance to you fools!!

JW CLAIMS>>>>Agreed with him, however when I went to his website he charges a large fee just to view it.

Looks to me like YOU are the stupid one. Unlike yourself, at least Kevin's grammar and spelling are correct. AND HE never even set one foot in a college! Go back and learn something, honey. BTW, the book is titled,"Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About" NOT "Natural Secret Cures For People Who Are Too Stupid To Bother." EVERY health book has diet and exercise in its pages, moron! Kevin is trying to teach you that the alternative lifestyle is in no way a mere diet-it's a way of life. If you already knew the protocol(Look it up)then you wouldn't be criticizing his book.

HMMMM!I decided to look it up the internet. so i thank the good Lord that i didn't fall for that. i am at a low point and can see how some poor, desperate soul could fall victim.

Hi. After sifting through this board, I have to say I understand what you mean by people being rude, mean, etc. Not to be Devil's Advocate, but I sort of agree with the "meanies." Notice how they ask the same questions? They are not even reviewing the board, or reading the posts on the same page. The letter itself was pure rubbish, and it puzzles me to fathom that these people(even you dear)are so attention starved that they are second guessing and even worse, they are responding to it! How is it that you all believe that total strangers "know" so much about you? It is sad to see how hungry you all are for compliments so therefore you fall for these horrible schemes. I read that you are at a poor point. I'm sorry to hear that, but you also ought to make a rule when you are feeling bad. The rule should be to never make any major(MAJOR means over $50 to me)purchases or decisions until you are feeling normal again. Yes, some posts here are harsh, i agree. But I also understand where some are coming from. Look again like i did and you will notice how these people have very little reading comprehension. They are all asking the same questions. Worse of all, these people are blaming the Natrual cure book for the scam mail. Blame yourselves, not that Kevin guy!
Also see how these people are all jumping the gun and accusing the Cure Book author Kevin for the letter. They act like he wrote it or knows the NTS personally. That's my feeling, anyway.

Lizzie

You can also discover more about the fraud of by-pass surgery and how the American Heart Association has been deceiving the American public for many years -- claiming that the death rate from heart disease was going down because of their recommended diet and drugs -- when, they have quietly admitted, the truth is that the death rate from stroke and heart disease is going UP. Check it out. Actually, the government-recommended diet for heart patients is exactly the type to increase your chances of dying from heart disease.

How's that for a scam? Mail-type letter scams should be the least of our concerns compared to the lies our fine government, Fda,Ftc. AMA, tells us and allows!!!

I keep reading about people throwing the letter out, convinced that it is a scam. Has anyone actually purchased the manuscript? How can you all claim it's a scam when I haven't found any posting from people who actually were scammed. Do I need to be the one who actually spends the money to find out. I dont enjoy being scammed, but I am curious. Why isn't there any stories from people who actually spent the money. Are they too busy enjoying their lives or are they too embarressed to admit they were scammed?

I too like so many received this letter promising insight and I too wondered how any society could get my name and profile me...I do not have a credit card, my phone is unlisted...........but I did order Kevin Trudeau's Natural Cures book and was deeply disappointed with it, it appeared to be a forum for Mr. Trudeau to voice his opinion of our Government. He was counting on people's usual reaction that it isn't worth the hassle to send it back for a refund.

Far from wishing them ill let's hope they simply are caught and, if actually criminal or cons, they pay their debt to all. I too received the letter, and mostly out of pure curiosity and I suppose partially due to teh creative and enticing nature responded. I am glad to see there is discussion about them but I see NO evidence in any of these comments that lead me to be convinced of anything but superlative, even if unscrupulous, MARKETING. We Americans, and probably more, are constantly looking for something for nothing but live in an environment where we regularly, every time we go into the store or turn on the TV, are being sold nothing for something.

Comforting to know I'm not alone I Guess? Irate because I hate being taken advantage of in any way! I ordered the Natural Cures Book and was hustled over the phone to buy all kinds of extra stuff: cd's of the book, magazines, extra copies of the book, etc. Then I never recieved it, when I called to cancel the order, the operator said the order was "invalid" I don't like the fact that I gave out C/card info to these fast talking creaps!

I am like other I bought this book and then I get this let a few weeks later, they seem to coinside with each other. As far as Kevin's book it is a lie when it comes to diebetics, a rip off, I paid with fast shipping 74.00 and then I got on the internet and typed his name in and found out he was being sued by a lot of folks, I also went to Costo today and found it on sale there for like 12 or 16.oo bucks rip off. I want to send mine back but they don't include a invoice, only a shipping notice, without any addresses or phone numbers and none on the wrapper. So I have no way of finding out where I can sent it back even though I will only get the 29.99 back no shipping or handling. Does anyone have a phone number that I can call or a address to send it back to them. Thanks so much.

I just got the letter as well, Oct.11, 2005. I agree that this is likely the result of a massive mailing list from Kevin Trudeau, as I called in to get his book, too. It's too bad, because I think he has a lot of valuable things to say about health. But as he says, EVERYONE is motivated by money. Case in point.

NOT FOR YOU! Try READING the book b4 u go ranting about things that are not true. It is clear you didn't read the book all the way. OK, i'll be nice and tell you to go to the last page of the book. The customer service #'s are listed. See, if you read the damn thing, then you wouldn't be here begging for help. You would've already known where to find the cust. serv. numbers!
BTW, I noticed the most whining/complaining are coming from people like you. People like you who haven't even tried to read it from the begginning.

To the Cry-Babies: Why don't you stop playing the victim card, and start thinking for yourselves? That's the problem with this world; Too many people act like they are victims, when indeed are simply frustrated because they don't understand basic concepts.

As for DONNA HART: Lie, how you lie!! How can you say the book is a lie when pertaining to diabetes? You obviously are not a diabetic, or else you would have been able to spell it correctly! I don't know who you THINK you are, but I know WHAT you are...So shut up until you actually read the book. You'd better stop accusing people of scamming you just because you have no capacity for comprehension. It makes you look even more stupid than you already are!

Looks like his company sold our names to other marketing firms. Oh well that's business I guess. My dad has had all the knowledge for years. Cured his cancer by doing different cleanses. Too bad Kevin beat my dad to the punch or else we would be selling the same book.

We can all do some digging to find Natural Cures for everything. They do exist. We must keep an open mind and never discount anything. We must also use our brains and research all claims, as we are doing here. Unfortunately, Kevin Trudeau has become greedy just like the organizations and associations he mentions in his book. I ordered his book because my mother was cured of cancer by a natural cure some of these organizations tried to stop. Kevin Trudeau is completely correct when he says they don't want to find a cure. I know, I have seen the way "they" operate first hand. It's so sad that he has turned into the very demon he condemns with his "Nouveau Tech Society" membership letter. His punishment will be self inflicted. (Remember, throw the discarded letter in the recycle bin)

I too received a letter from this "secret" society. I checked out a couple of websites & verified this was a scam. The one common denominator I found was that most (if not all) of us recently ordered the Natural Cures book from Kevin Trudeau. I liked the book & what I learned from it but I was disappointed to find out that he would link us to scams & junk mail such as this one.

I ordered Kevin's book about 3 weeks ago and regretted doing so immediately. The person on the phone taking my order continued to try to sell me on other products and "add-ons" to the book order. I should have suspected something then.
Well tonight I got home from work and found this "secret society" invitation letter in the mailbox. As I read it I thought about the special traits and hidden talents that I possess that make me "worthy" of acceptance into this exclusive society and as I read his letter I couldn't help but think that the only promise he did not offer was the only promise that is worth having. He spoke of MONEY, POWER, ROMANTIC-LOVE. He spoke of acceptance into a special organization made up of "well-known, wealthy, and highly influential people. But what Kevin does not know about me is that I already belong to an organization like this. But Kevin, if you are reading this, I'll bet you do not belong to the organization that I do. And mine is truly free, in fact, it is a gift. Some may have already guessed the name of my special group, we are called Christians, and I have been given a mansion and unimaginable peace and happiness, not for a lifetime though Kevin, but for eternity. Maybe you should consider joining the society that I belong to. Seek Jesus Kevin or burn for eternity with your "so called wealth".
