In January, I was fired from my retail job for purchasing items that were incorrectly marked on sale (note: I was not the one who did the pricing), which caused the store to lose about $80. I was told that I had 1 week to repay the $80 or my debt would be turned over to a collection agency. I paid the debt within the time limit and was given a receipt for my payment, which my manager signed with her initials. About a week later, I got a phone call from Bennett Law, saying that they were calling on behalf of my former employer to collect the debt I owed.

Hello there I recently received a call from Barnes Givenski, a law firm in Georgia claiming to represent a collection agency that had been harassing me for over a year about a loan from Web Payday from 2007. To my knowledge i paid this off but i can only find the emails that I had sent to Web Payday way back then. I no longer have the bank account i would have used to make a payment. Anyway-I asked that the "arbitrator" send me written documentation about what I owe.

I have a 6 month old loan from Eastside Lenders in amount of 200.00, Alliance Asset recently called me and said i owed 370.00. I was wondering if Eastside Lenders are an illegal or legal company.

This is the four emails I received after getting a call on my job today! I told him lastweek don't call my job I can't have personal calls but he does not listen so he told me he will continue to call my job! If anything I owe them 40.00 they won't give me a address they are not in the states but they are content on harrassing me he said he is putting my file on his directors office because I am beligerent and he can't talk to me I called his butt after I read these emails! Maybe I need to start harrassing them?

[COLOR=black]I am in a debt settlement program with Elite Financial Services in Saugus, MA, I see on this post there are people talking about a few different Elite Financial Services. I work with the debt settlement company in MA once again. As far as I’m concerned, they have gone above and beyond my expectations. I originally enrolled with 60k in debt, they have settled all but 2 of my accounts in 18 months, and I was in a 36 month program.

When the collection agency states that they are negotiating on behalf of the credit card company that is not true correct? Because at that point hasnt the credit card company written off the debt? Also the collection agency is threatening to verify my employment for garnisment is that possible?

I'm in urgent need of advice. Loss of job and chronic illness of my child have resulted in no more savings and deep credit card debts. I was recently sued by CA/Law Office, but they never served us so we didn't have a chance to fight back. They claimed they served us, but it's not true. They got a judgement against us. Next, they sent a letter offering to settle for about 65% of the inflated amount, but I didn't have the money.

Is Cash Cure licensed to operate in Idaho? They are an internet payday loan company. I borrowed $500 in April because of a medical emergency and have since paid back $1057.50. I apparently still owe them $400? I have closed my checking account and am attempting to get this all sorted out. I tried back in April to get them to take out the entire loan amount plus the $132.50 finance charge but they just took out the finance charge and have continued to do so ever since. They hae only just this month started taking out an additional $50/payday to apply towards the principal.

Hello,I received a threatening call from TRS saying I owed a PDL Everst Cash Advance and they are beginning the Wage Assignment with my employer. What is that, and can they do that? I know Everest is illegal in CA. I've sent them Cease and Desist letter but they never responded. Should I be worred about a Wage Assignment?
