I do not know who this person is whatsoever, but it has their name on the letter but my mailing address. I just happen to do a Google search on this collections company and have seen all sorts of complaints.

I live in Missouri and have 3 storefront payday loans that I just cannot afford to payback. Every two weeks I pay the minimum and they are just recycling and never ending and I am having trouble paying necessary bills. What can I do and what are the consequences if I do not pay them back and close my bank account.

I live in Texas... and being sued by Allen Adkins (who purchased my Citi bank debt) I have a debt collector attorney working on it for me but think my attorney is getting some sort of kickback from Allen or Citi. Wondered if anyone else had experienced something similar? If so what to do about it?

At one after multiple emails got them to agree to only paying back the $1200 but then a week after that deal was struck I find that they assigned my debt to a 3rd party vender.

Hi all I have a balance of 23K and have received a written settlement offer from citi card for 13K. I am 160 days past due and have 8 more days to accept offer. My other credit cards are in a debt consolidation plan - this card had been in that plan for 2 years but was kicked out due to missed payments (original balance was 33K). Did debt consolidation in an attempt to salvage credit score which is now pretty bad so not a too worried about that at this point. I plan to take 401k loan to settle this account.

I was offered a loan via the web last year for $2600 payable in 26 installments of $208. This was from a payday loan firm I had used in the past. is this considered a "payday" loan - if so, what are the ramifications in as much as it exceeds the $300 California limit? I have one other pdl through Redstone for $400, again isn't the California limit $300?

I intend on paying them back, just slowly at an affordable rate.
