I'm a bit confused: I've seen threads about this 'debt consolidation company'. However..I've gotten several letters, in the past, about them stating they are a CA and they are trying to collect a debt from me (that is way beyond the SOL). Posters are saying, "they've had good experiences with them." How do you have a "good experience with a CA? I sure don't. What are they..REALLY?

Pressler & Pressler I had the wonderful joy (*sarcasm*) of receiving a summons in the mail from this law firm yesterday suing me for an approximately 2k debt with Capital One. I thought since I was paying a set amount monthly through my debt management plan that I would be ok. Turns out, I guess I'm screwed. This is the message I received from my debt management plan last year when I signed up my accounts: "The response from the Capital One indicates your account ending in xxxx is charged off or is in collection status. The creditor has agreed to accept payments sent on your behalf.

I have been receiving calls from 800-292-7508 asking for my husband and that it is a personal matter. I have googled the number and not much is coming up, cant even get a location for them, the lady tells me the company name is Home Design. Now my husband does have a chase cc that is collections but we are not paying on it till they respond to a letter we sent out. Can a company give out a false name when calling? Do they have to provide me with a address if requested? And has anyone here heard of them?

Hi, I have gotten into quiet a mess as I took out 2 payday loans> I took out 1 with American Web Loan for $700 and 1 with Mypaydayloan for $200 and I had only been letting them debit the interest or (loan renewment payment) but I recently lost my job and defaulted on them and they have emailed and called numerous times and I told them not to debit cause there was no funds in there and none coming in at the moment.

My husband's company filed bankruptcy. He didn't get a paycheck last week or this week. We literally have $90 to our name. I've always paid our credit cards 5 days early. But now, I had to cancel all our payments! Should I call each credit card company & tell them my situtation? I know my husband is going to file for unemployment, I don't know when we'll receive the money. What I do know, there is noooo way I'll be able to make the minimum payments anymore on our cards!!!?? What should I do?

I just got a call from someone representing Paradise Payday Loan. I closed my account after already having paid them the $300 I borrowed and then some! They said there's a fraud case now against me and if I don't pay $500 by tomorrow, they'll have the sheriff's come to my job! I live in NJ... Please help! I'm desperate! Can they do this? I have a question. I took out a loan in 2007 for $100.00, I was just laid off from my job and wouldn't pay it back I thought my bank paid it back. I was wrong after e-mailing them of a paper I noticed.Later May 2011. I had to take out an online loan and I never went to their website but they got ahold of my bank information and removed $130.00 first, then turned back around a day later and removed $180 so I called the first time about the $130. I just told them I will try to send them something hey I make &7.57 and do 80 hrs take home is $500.

I have 5 payday loans in louisiana and need some help on how to resolve these. I am in a very bad thing right now. I have paydays at 1)cash tree 225.00 payback 280.00 x2 2)check into cash 350.00 payback 405.00 and another with them 225.00 payback 260.00 and one more payday loan in minden louisiana cant remember the name right now.i believe these are all what you call store front.. I lost my job in jan and broke my foot monday. So i can not pay these in full or interested right now but hubby bring paycheck home. But i am getting farther behind on house/car notes. What can I do.
