I have a unsecured credit card judgement from 2009 for 2000. I do not have a job nor any assets of my own. However, my husband does work and everything is in his name, the car, bank account and house is only in his name. My question is, since new jersey is a non-community property state and everything in the house was paid by my husband could the debt collecter have a sherriff come for the furniture, tv etc. to pay for my debt? His name was not on my card.We live paycheck to paycheck and this worries me alot.Thank you.

Me and my wife have a payday loan with a little local payday company we are paying it off in 2 two weeks for good!!!!!BUT today I saw something that got me thinking.I saw Warrants for people arrest for bad checks that did not go though the bank!!!!YES I said it and saw it WARRANTS for people arrest in my county!!! I thought this is for a loan???There now going though the county magistrate spending the money for warrants to arrest people who bouncing checks and the state is letting them do to!!!

Do Debt Collection Enterprises have the legal authority to garnish wages of persons who incurred a debt as a result of a government sponsored college loan?

This started when I responded to a solicitation by One Hundred Day loans. They said they could help me get funds and pay back in 100 days. I completed the preliminary app and was directed to lenders that would lend 500 -$600. I took out a total of 1600. But my local TV news channel ran a story on illegal unlicensed lenders and how they were taking more money than was owed. I immediately checked to see if the lenders were licensed here in Oregon and they were not. I also found consumer complaints filed against them.

I have two loans, both current and in good standing with the lender,have had loans with them before....looking to do only one payment and much lower...can you help/direct me to a source...i have a checking account, direct pay and there would be no issue with the payments....

Got a call from 800-287-5356 William Sneider & Associates, LLC Poor BBB Rating Same drabble...Your name/SSN attached to a file...Check fraud...Going to be served... All I can wish is people don't fall for these calls and are aware of their rights. Anyone else get one of these?

I just recently had money desposited into my account without my knowledge. I have not given anyone my permission to put anything into my account without going over any information about how much i would be having to pay back or how much would be coming out of my account on my paydays. My wife and I purchased a new used vehicle and We thought we got a super deal. 3 days later we we notice they pushed our credit 8 times. This sank our credit 50 points. How are they allowed to do this crap.
