Can the state of Illinois collect on a debt 27 yrs. old ?

Hello everyone, I have been reading this site for some time now trying to decide which would be the best way to handle my debt. I have approximately $30,000 in unsecured cc debt. We've been current on our payments but have been tapping our savings dry making minumums and it looks like this month will be the last month we can keep up. 3 of our accounts make up the majority of our debt: BoA - $9,740 Citi - $6,057 HSBC - $9,689 What are the chances that these creditors offer a settlement at some point?

Here is the situation: My mom has severe medical issues. I have power of attorney on her finances, and all of her medical mail is supposed to be forwarded to me directly. She was rushed to the hospital back in October via a private Ambulance company in Eugene, OR. Anthem Blue Cross was supposed to take care of it directly, but they did not. I heard from the Ambulance company in January that they weren't paid, so I contacted blue cross and asked for the check to be reissued. They said they would do it.

i have 2 banks loans (neither our my mortgage) and i have 2 high credit card balances. i would like to consolidate these to one affordable monthly payment. any recommendations

I returned a car 2 years ago this May 2011, I knew it would be sold at auction and was paying what I could even before it sold, then they turned in to collection as repo so I stopped paying. I got a letter at my new job last week for amount of loan and court fees but no court date just typed numbers on unofficial looking paper. I are my options, should I offer something to settle, I owe 7,000. could pay 2,000.

I recently took out a few internet payday loans not knowing that they were illegal in my state of PA. Anyways, I did everything that I was suppose to...filed with Department of Banking, BBB, closed my account. I just recently received a telephone call from an attorney stating that she is suing me in my county (which she gave to me was correct) for a bad check! I am completely at lost because I told her on the phone that internet payday lending is illegal in my state because of the interest percentage.

Ok who can I file a complaint with against Ameriloan and United Cash Loans. They are really starting to be bothersome now that are calling from a new number let me put it out there for my people can be aware. 1-855-820-5217 her name was Linda and she pissed me off I hung up in her.
