Im in the process of filing for bankruptcy, and I received a letter from the Bankruptcy court stating that the notice of meeting of creditors came back as being returned for being undeliverable. The address that I had was PO Box 740281 Houston, TX 77274! Has anyone had to deal with this company before and recieved this same info?

If the original credit card company turned over the debt to a collection agency, who then sold it to someone else, who then sold it to someone else so is now served me, are the last people representing the original card company or themselves?

national check arbitration service had called me a month ago about a bad check i wrote for a payday loan. i didn't write a bad check - i just closed my bank account. i paid them $200 or so and now when i call the number i have for that company it's disconnected. i canceled all future payments with them through my bank since i can't find the company anymore....is there a way to tell if this is a scam company....and if so is there a way i could get my money back??

My husband had a car that was purchased in the state of California in 2003-2004. About a year later he moved to Utah and brought it here with him. Not long after that it was repossesed. He told me that he was making payments on it up until the day it was repossesed and that it was because he moved it to different state without getting permission from the lien holder. Does this sound right? Now 6 years later they are trying to collect on the balance and are threatening garnishment and have filed a judgement that is showing up on his credit report in March 2011.

Hi, Mann Bracken was constantly calling me and sending me letter for a period of time. I finally settled with them in august of 2009, I received a letter stating that I've settled. I was told to give it some time amd check my report...I just assumed they were a legit company since I had googled them and read up on the company a tiny bit. I recently checked my credit report and Mann bracken is not listed on the report nor is it listed that I have settled with them I do have a settlement letter and receipt that I have made a payment, what do I do?
