What is a reasonable payment plan?

Not sure where to begin with DCS. My husband cosigned on a student loan for my daughter and she let it default (which is a whole 'nother issue!). We don't want my husband's wages to be garnished so we'll have to step in and take care of it. It's a private loan that is $9100. I would like to offer $2000 now and payments of $350. Is that reasonable and do you think they would accept it? I intend to pay more when I can, but want to know where to start the negotiations. Anyone have any ideas or experience? Thanks!

Paying Off Debt and Cleaning Up Report

We have finally gotten to a point in my husband's career where we have steady income - and lots of it. We have built our back-up savings account and are now ready to start paying off the debt on his credit report. He has a horrible score, but it's not much debt, considering - he just went from no credit to bad credit very quickly. I have a few questions before I give anyone any of our hard earned money. First off - if something has been charged off, I assume we would pay whomever has the account currently (debt collector, instead of the original)?

Negotiate Creditor After Judgement (Co-Signer)

Hello, When I was in college I had co-signed a lease with 3 friends. 2 had defaulted on the lease and did not make payments. I was never notified of their non payment until about 6 months into the lease. None the less we were eventually evicted and sued for the amount owed. Even though I payed all my rent I realize I am responsible legally due to the co-signed lease. This all took place in Illinois. The amount still owed is 6,000. Money which I have no where close to. I was wondering if it is possible to negotiate a payment for a pay-to-delete (since I payed all my share of rent).

i have a court summons from a credit card co. that says they can take my property. is it to late to cut a deal? It also states I'll be arrested if I don't show up for court.I got the notice a month late and didnt show up to the first court date because they sent the summons to my moms address, which i was not living at.
