I am being threaten by Dept of Ed Collection Agency about wage garnishment cause I can't make the payment they are request to get the loan out of default what can I do

Just curious - for anyone who has gone through the steps and did not reach an agreeable resolution with your illegal PDL, in other words, they refuse to give you a PIF, and you have gone on to file your complaints with your state AG, or the appropriate agency within your state, what has the process been like, and was the AG able to help you get your PIF letter, or do the PDL still buck at the laws of your state? Also, was anyone able, with state agency assistance, to get a refund of exorbitant fees you paid? This is the step I am at....I have about 15 PDL (it's terrible).

Hi I currently reside in Cleveland Ohio, I have always paid the minimum payment on time. I'm just not able to pay more. I learned yesterday that I have to take a pay cut at work. I called several of my credit card companies such as wells fargo, citibank, GE Money to explain my situation and ask for settlements. None agreed to lower the interest rate or make a settlement for even half my balance. Do I have to wait until I am 90 days past due before any of them will work with me? I really appeciate everyones help. I'm just not sure what else to do? Thanks

My mother-in-law turned her mobile home back to the lender. They sold it for much less than it was worth ...sold it for $40K. The balance owed was $56K. She didn't arrange a short sale or anything. Just gave it back. She's now received a 1099A and 1099C. What are her tax liabilities?

I had a VERY BAD experience with J.D. Enterprises. Last week I CONTACTED THEM to try to settle my debt they have from a sprint bill from 2003. I paid them $260.50 and told them I would contact them the next week to see if we could work something out for the rest of my balance. I DID call them back on the day I said I would. I asked if we could work out a payment plan or something and I was told that if I did not pay the remaining balance of $445 by 3:00pm that day that I would be sued I tried every possible thing I could think of to come up with the money but could not.

I was just wondering if jd enterprise has ran anyone else's debit card without authorization. I gave them permission to run it once.

Is the lawsuit with Cash Call current or already settled? I have a loan with Cash Call and would like to join a class action lawsuit.
