I received a call at home this evening from Peachtree Law center. They initially asked for my wife, I said she was unavailable and asked to take a message. At this point they said they were trying to reach me. They said they were calling in reference to a PD loan from 2 years ago (that I believed to be long since paid off) and that I needed to make arrangements with them to prevent potential legal action. I explained to "Courtney" that the amounts she was stating didn't match anything and that I believed it to be paid off. I told her I would need to research it and call her back.

Call me uninformed, I am just seeing what you probably saw on TV months ago. RIGHT NOW, I am almost speechless. Let me say I rarely watch tv because my tv is one of the “old-fashioned” ones now that needs a decoder box and between that and my being in a “red and blue zone” and need a rooftop antenna, (so much for that easy transition). As such, I guess I am behind the times, but I just came across a video and some print material that confirms what I have feared. As much as I suspected it, actually seeing it put on the TV as though it were nothing.

Me and the hubby are just restarting our credit repair again since we had another bout of medical expenses and some things got let go. Now we had a small loan that defaulted....totally forgot about it since they never once sent a collection letter or even called.

After filling out all the information, allowing the clerk to make a copy of all of my documents (bank statement, DL, Debit card for a second ID) I realized that I didn't have my social security card. Honestly, I didn't know that I would need it and dont carry it with me. I told her that I would go home after work (this was on my lunch hour) get it and try to come back before they close.

Could someone please tell me if Everest cash advance and ExtraFunds. Com are legal pdl companies, and also I have a loan with cashnet USA that I took out for $700 well I ended up defaulting on it due to job loss now I'm told I owe around $1100 on this loan that includes fees, interest and principal it hadn't gone to collections yet, but I'm waiting on how they handle default accts.. And what letters should I send to these companies if any, please any help and advice thanks so much...

Hi, this is the story I opened an account with Sears way back in 1999. In 2004 or 2005.. Sears sold the account to citi Bank.

I have been sucked into this whole payday loan fiasco as well. A few years ago I lost a high paying job due to an illness my daughter had and took a job that paid a lot less as it was the onl. My credit has been completely destroyed due to this and I began taking out payday loans to supplement my income. I know this was very stupid. I have 2 small children am ending up without even any money left to take care of them. What are my options as far as dealing with this? I have not defaulted, but I need to take care of my of my children. I am scared about what to expect!
