Unsure on the legal status and epp

15 years 4 months ago
I have 2 internet payday loans one with cashnetusa and one with paydayone. I live in ohio. According to the links I found on this site, ohio law states that the max loan amount is $500. Both loans are over this amount and I have paid the amount of the principle in rollover fees already and I am making no headway getting these paid off. Are these loans legal? Also if I can get these 2 to agree to an epp, as I understand it they split it over my next 4 paydays?

Paid H&P Capital...did I just make a mistake???

15 years 4 months ago
I just paid off my husband's outstanding, 5-year-old Advance America payday loan that was with H & P Capital. I know that he did, indeed, owe Advance America, so this is not a question. But a couple of things bother me. They pulled the whole, "the statute of limitations on this is up tomorrow and it will be turned over to the police and charged as a misdemeanor." But the "bad check" that they had was post-dated. From what I understand of the law in my state (Indiana), you cannot be charged with check deception on a post-dated check to a payday loan company.

Payday loan trap

15 years 4 months ago
My husband and I have a total of 7 payday loans maxed out and we can???t seem to break free of them. He is in school and works 2 jobs and I also work. How do we get out of this trap without filing bankruptcy of any kind? This is so stressful! When our paydays come around we have to hurry and up and pay loans and re-borrow loans just so we can pay off other loans and our bill. All of our bills are behind and I just don???t know how to get out of this! Please help!

Ok, I really feel like a dummy. I sent them the money. They were supposed to send me a letter stating I did so that I could ask US Bank to take me off Chexsystems. They never did, after promises from 2 different people. The number they gave me is no good. Now what do I do?

DV Follow up?

15 years 4 months ago
Hello, I have a question regarding debt validation follow up. After receiving a collection agency letter, I responded by sending a DV letter via certified mail. A second collection letter was sent to me dated two days after they received my DV letter (I have the certified return receipt). The second letter claims that I have failed to repond and collection efforts will continue. I am a few days away from the 30-day expiration of my DV request.

Received packet from FFG with documents from a payday loan company PDL Ventures. It was past the 30 days required for the validation I requested. I have not taken out a pay day loan from PDL Venture, yet the application states my name, address, ss number is correct, but the Birthdate is wrong and date on payday loan go back to 2001. What is going on? Do I send another validation letter to FFG or PDL Ventures? I am confused about the next step. Thank you for the help I have found on your site.

15 years 4 months ago
I am having a problem with Pay Day Loan Yes they are refusing to give me their payment information. I have asked them for it about five times. They said they would only take the full amount and I explained that I could not send it right now but I am willing to make payments. I want to get this over with but they are being so uncooperative, where do I go from here? Does anyone have their information?

consolidation loan

I have a credit score of 750 and make $50K/year. I have about $30K in credit card debt. I'm not in any risk of default, but I am interested in a consolidation loan at a low rate to pay off the credit cards. Any advice on where to turn? Thanks in advance.

I tell them I want to dispute this debit for 700 dollars, that was opened at an address I never lived at. For a credit card I never owned and they dissapeared for a year. Then they start calling again, I tell them again I want to dispute it I give them my correct address. They call me again 11 days later, for 800 dollars on another card that I don't own. I told the lady that I requested a dispute and she said they sent it out the 20th I explained to her i never got it in the mail. She said she will send out another one.
