I have two bank cards that I am unable to pay and have just begun defaulting. I own two houses with no equity.
If I am sued, will they force me to relinquish one house in order to pay the credit card bills?
Any information is appreciated.
I just beat LVNV funding in court. They claimed I owed almost $4,000 but wouldn't provide any proof even though I requested it at least twice. In the court, I called their bluff. When they couldn't produce proof the case was dismissed! Didn't even take 5 minutes and I was on my way home.
It seems were hoping I just wouldn't show up and they would just get a default judgment. Their lawyer sure looked shoked when I did. It seems to me that a lot of it is just bluff.
Hello, We are five months behind on the rent for our business with 20 months left on our loan. What are our options? We do not want to file bankruptcy and we do not want to lose everything we have.
they have already received more than i owe. I have been writing to Chase for the past month about the pdls and overdraft fees. the account with Chase doesn't even have overdraft protection cause they closed that account when they took over WAMU. they told me to apply for overdraft protection. i have yet to see since they took over the account from WAMU. More than twice i applied yet i have over $ 2,000.00 in overdraft fees due to pdls and other payments not getting through. Oh i must add they only allow two refunds for overdraft fees a year. I am stunned at how much they are robbing me.
I have two loans with online lenders that are not registered in my state. The bank has already stated that they can close my account and reopen a new account and the accounts are not linked. I am trying to determine what kind of offer I should make to these two lenders to make the process less threatning. I will be sending out letters shortly. The total balance is $1326.39 including interest. I was considering sending each company $100 per month until balance is paid.
Hello,
I open a credit card account in October of 07. I made no payments on the card for about a year (I think). Around that time I decided I wanted to help my credit score, so i sought to pay the money back. I went into Chase, and they told me the account was closed because it had been sold to a debt collector. They put me in contact with the debt collector, who said the account was "charged off" because they had not been able to contact me.
My fiance and I are in debt with credit cards $54,000 and an equity line of credit on our home for $33,000. We've never been late even once on a payment. He had to have surgery on his foot, and didn't work for 9-months so it really destroyed us financially. Would we be considered for debt settlement or should we just go bankrupt.
