Can a person get out of a debt consolidation contract and settle credit card debts on their own? If so, how does this work?

I have closed my bank acct, sent the letter from this forum to the pdl's that they are illegal in ky. They are MyCashNow and Paydaymax. I have more than paid for MyCashNow loan, and haven't started on the PaydayMax. A friend told me to check this site, he thought he saw somewhere that internet pdl's were illegal in ky. Turns out he was right. So what Now, just sit and wait on them to respond or continue to build information as to why i shouldn't pay their fee/interest? This site is awesome!!!

Hi Nelly, I am a natural born US citizen and have been living in the Philippines for about 20 years. I have 9 dependents and six children in school from grade one up to second year college. (we are putting a poor relative through school also) About 3 years ago I began a negative cashflow condition where my expenses were more than my income. Even with severe budgeting I could not balance my budget. So I had to offset the shortage with my USA credit cards by using them to buy groceries and basic necessities.

So I've been on here a bunch lately, as we attempt to get rid of all this payday loan mess. I've talked before about CK marketing (formerly paydayonline) and how earlier this week a letter came adressed to our HR/payroll department (which I intercepted) talking all about me and my "bad debt" and how they were going to get their attorneys involved, etc.

What if you don't know how much and to who you owe money for the payday loans.

Was reading some of the comments here and noticed FIA mentioned several times and that they can possibly get the debt reduction down to a 30% or 40% level? This would help me immensely if true. Might save my life. Really need some advice and help. Thank you in advance if you can share. received a e-mail from Kenwood Services stating to fax back signed agreement and my account will be marked "PIF" and will "deposit" a refund amount into my account. please advise

I was sued for a credit card. Took the summons to an attorney who promptly let plaintiff know i was represented, and got me a settlement and agreement that no judgment will be filed by plaintiff. Well i made the payment on time and in full in accordance with the signed agreement. Yesterday in the mail i get a copy of a judgment signed by a judge for the full amount! How can this happen? They totally breached the agreement we had in writing and signed by both parties. They cashed my check. Plus i am represented by an attorney yet the plaintiff sent this directly to me not my attorney.

I am in New Mexico. My loans are: American Cash Loans - have used these guys for a year or so, borrow 300, pay off within 3-4 weeks. Now, I have a loan for approximately 900 and I pay 151 every 2 weeks. I have had this particular one for about 2 months. FastBucks - same as above. Previously had a 1000 loan where I had made some headway in the principal. Then I had to renew for 900 with payments of 187 every 2 weeks. It has been about 6 weeks since the last renewal. Shamrock Finance - originally opened a 300 loan approximately 3 years ago. STILL paying it off.
