I was told by one of my relatives that there are some new rules in the student loans which has increased the limit of Pell Grants. Is it true???? I want to take a Govt loan for her education. I am a teacher in a school in PA. Has the repayment rule changed in this 'so-called' new rule? Any help will be highly appreciated.

I have been victimized by their illegal practices and it's absolutely ridiculous now. I have paid them in full afte almost $1000 in only fees they took out of my acct plus the actual loan. smh. And now I have some rude indians calling me and leaving threat voicemails. I called back and was hung up on about 30 times before I was cursed at. This is absolutly unexceptable and I'm thinking about going legal

I need some help if there is a kind soul to respond. I have 6 cash advance loans with local advance stores and 3 internet loans. It was suggested to me by a credit counselor (after reviewing our financial situation) to either file bankruptcy of close my bank account and negotiate paying off the loans as fast as I can. I have about $1,200/month in fees and can't get on top of them and my bills. What is the best way, or suggestions to attack this problem? What kind of notice should I give them? What things to know in advance will be of help?

We live in Georgia. We have been to 2 different attorneys for consultations. They say we only qualify for chapter 13. My sister lives in Alabama and she qualified for Chap 7. She makes more money than we do. And we have more debt we owe about $100,000. How is that possible? Both attorneys are telling us we will have to jump through hoops to get it done and hers was a piece of cake. Should we try another attorney or just suck it up? Thanks for any help!

I have overpayed the original loan amounts in fees alone.

Just got my mail about 30mins ago and found a summon from Pressler and Pressler. It says I have 35 days to answer. I live in NJ and unfortunately I'm unemployed with 2 kids. It wasn't done by certified mail, does this qualify as not being properly served? Is there a sample letter or answer for this? I read on another board that I should ask to validate this debt, file a discovery and if after 30 days no answer, then file a motion to dismiss with prejudice. Is this correct? I will call the court on Monday to see if I qualify for legal services.

I spoke to the bank & i have closed all my bank accounts. The bank infomed me that once the account was closed no other ARCH would come out of it. How should I pay these people off now I don't want to give them my ne banking info. What do you suggest?
