I have a PDL at a storefront business called Amscot of $500 in Florida. We've been in the horrible cycle of paying it every 2 weeks with the fee of $51 and taking it back out 24 hours later to make sure our bills are covered. We've been in this cycle for 2 years so as not to fault on the loan. I've already made attempts to extend my due date so I can pay it but they will not. My question is if I do a stop payment on the check with my bank what legal actions does the company have against us? Can I call corporate and make payment arrangements and will they keep adding interest?

I left someone a check that they were supposed to deposit on Wednesday, but they actually dropped it for deposit over the weekend. Given that Monday is a holiday, I know nothing will happen with the check until Tuesday when their bank presents it. My worry is that my funds aren't available in my account until Thursday. I have a different bank, I think they used TD Bank. My bank says that if they receive the check information Weds night I should be fine becuase they can see my pending deposit.
