These are illegal companies in my state (CA). I noticed two of them had Desist and Refrain orders filed in the state of California. I was curious of they were liable for the excess fees they charged after the fact . . .

I just recieved a call from portfolio recovery associates asking me to pay a suncom at&t debit I had from 2001 and a cellularone debit from 2004. Do i have to pay them this because it is outside of 6 years which is Georgia SOL on written contracts like phone service.

Okay I am having alot of issues with the below Auto Loan account. I have had this account since 2006. I was paying this account fine until I was laid off from work in March of 2007. I was 30 days late in May of 2007, and from then on I didnt pay the note. The car was eventually charged off in September of 2007, but the car was not reposessed until January of 2009.

Income-Based Repayment (IBR) Income Contingent Repayment Income Sensitive Repayment Extended Repayment Can anyone tell me which would be th e best option? I was able to find a calculator for the IBR, but couldn't find one for the other options so I could compare.

Ok, I dont know what to do.... I live in Ohio and 5years ago i did a online payday loan. Several creditors call me over the last years and i repeatedly tell them it was fraudulent due to the fact the amount due has sky rocketed. Anyway, lately this year the calls have become more threatening, stating they are taking me to court and that the fees will be triple. The original amount was $300 and I offered to pay that, but they are unwilling to take that. I am in college now and i definitely dont have the amount they are requesting.

My wife has a Capital One card that was sent to a CA, I sent a debt validation letter as well as a cease and desist letter. Once I receive the validation (I hope) should I make an offer to settle with them? They originally offered to settle for around 80% of the balance which we only owe $3500. Should I offer them a settlement or wait and see if they make a formal offer in writing? Thanks for any advice Mike
