Well I did a "staggered" default and have dwindled down to just paying one creditor (my smallest). Am saving every penny and trying to save nonessentials towards settlement (hopefully before chargeoff but not looking too good so far getting 23-35% by then. We shall see) Have around 42k spread across 5 accounts with 3 creditors. Have stopped paying and basically just told them all "sorry, would love to pay but my money situation has worsened dramatically). My most delinquent one is around 60 days now, and they are getting "threateny".

I got a pdl with ameriloan and have 2 deposits in my account the $300 form tham then $250 the day before form an SSM Group. I do not know who this SSM is and they are not liscend in il (nither is ameriloan which i did not know) It has been past the time in whic i can give the $ back as i did not knwo about it untill today when i checked my account online to see if i had the $ form the other. What can i do at this point? i do not want the $250 and cant get contact info for whoever SSM Group is, please help!

I receive a message a guy name dexter coleman from a law office of goldstein henderson & weiss. He actually spoke with my daughter stating that i was going to be sued in my county court and he had the the court number already apparently. I look on BBB and the are an accredited company. I try a reverse address of the address i found online i cant find them. The number that was on my caller id doesnt match the location of the address either. I thought its illegal for a debt collector to leave any personal matter issues with anyone besides yourself.

I live in Texas, have 5 payday loans (internet), about $3000 total. Obviously can't pay back full amounts to these companies, so how should I go about getting these paid?

Can a collection agency report a debt as as cancelation of debt and add it to your income forever or is there a time limit on this action? When my husband passed away, I had to stop paying all credit cards. Can they report my debts to the IRS as a cancelation of debt anytime as long as I live? He has been dead for 7 years. Some of them I paid as long as I could but eventually had to stop paying them.

I have 3 payday loans with Speedee Cash, Advance America and Cash Express all in Alabama. They are 200, 350 and 160 in that order. I'm having a difficult time paying them off. Can you help?

Speedy Cash is claiming they are a CSO in Texas. I have looked them up under Speedy Cash, Rapid Cash, and Galt Ventures but cannot find them no matter what I look under. I even searched by city since they are located out of Wichita Kansas. I have asked them numerous times what name they are registered under but they will not give me that information. My contract said nothing about them being a CSO, so I am confused. Anyone have anything futher on this company?
