I'll try and be as brief as possible...... unbeknown to us our son had a judgement made against him for $18900.00 in 2007... he has not worked since 2/2008....he went back to school and graduated and know is looking for job. i'm concerned that if someone does a credit check on him, this should/could show up! we are wiiling to help our son; but don't know where to start..... sn...this helps us to understand the spiralling down back in 2006-2008....he had a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized. he is now just getting back on his feet..... the debt was with jp morgan.

Are there any "safe" debt settlement companies?

Hello, I would be grateful for any information anyone could provide. NRC debt collection agency has been bullying and harrassing me for the last month. I am a graduate student and have no income, yet they were able to talk me into a payment plan (I know dumb move) - after I got off the phone I realized I did not want them to have access to my account...so I called back and tried to rescind my authorization. All of my requests have been ignored and now they have pulled the money from my account resulting in a very large negative balance. I am panicked.

I received a summons on Saturday for a old account that was charged off to a debt collection agency and they sought out a lawyer. We have no money to pay this and do not want legal action taken against us. We have a few more in collections also. Is debt settlement the route to take if a summons was served or is debt management still an option??? Please help not sure what to do. Thank you.

They are not giving me their address and/ or email and I think that is against the law. I told them I won't do it unless they send something to me in writing. Does anyone have their mailing address. I have the name of guy I am dealing with and want to send a letter to validate he is who he says he is first. Thanks Kaylee

I recently got a pdl with alpine direct services lllc. Has anyone heard of them? I want to repay back the loan in full. They sent me loan documents stated if I wanted to reapy them that I had to call and email them stating that I wanted it paid off in full within 3 business days before the loan is due. I hope this works because this is what Im going to do. I came across this site after the fact and I hope I dont encounter any problems.

If I have a rental property and no longer can afford to maintain and keep it but owe too much on it. What is the most prudent way to communicate with the bank. Some have suggested to sign the property over to the bank in lieu of foreclosure. Does anyone have a better solution?
