I am disabled from a spinal cord disease and receive SSDI. Someone I thought was a friend a couple yrs ago helped me to take out a personal loan of $1,500. For it to go through the finance co put him as the one needing the loan and me the co-signer. My pymts were $80.00 a month. I was on the SSDI at this time also. I did make some pymts of the agreed amount, then fell behind. I have tried to pay some thing and got the finance company to lower pymt to $40.00. Sometimes I have been able to make that pymt and sometimes not. Now the "friend" is very angry.

Well I just finished sending out my letters to my three illegal lenders. I plan on sending a letter to my legal one in the morning. I will keep everyone posted of what happens. Thank you to everyone on this site that has helped me! If I would not have found this place I think I would have lost my mind!

Hi all, I've done lots of searching and found some good resources here but I was confused by the summons I received. It appears there's two parts: first they talk about service, venue and facts (which states a summary that I didn't pay for the card, etc). The second part is "Requests for Admission." My main question is which list of facts/bullet points and I supposed to answer back with accept/deny? Also does anyone have an answer template for a similar case in Texas? This doc they sent has 17 bullets under the requests for admission, is that normal?

I have a private student load with Wachovia that went to profit and loss. Can i still settle with them or do I have to comunicat with will and fud inc who are claiming they were retained by the creditor to settle the debt.

what are my chances of getting a loan to pay off all my credit card debt if my credit score is 680 but my debt to income ratio is 60% which is high.

I was wondering...I live in arkansas but took a payday loan out when I lived in tx...I am now getting calls from a place called Department of Checks Systems. I actually forgot about the loan i took. what do i do to find out who it was through and they say I owe 1100 and I know I did not take that much out. help thank you...I think the original loan was through maybd SMG not sure though...have not documentation on it

In dept consolidation do you have to put all your dept in a plan or can you only put some in that you have trouble paying

So, I got in over my head with pay day loans...having my whole check going to pay interest and still owing more than I took out, after several payments. Today i closed my bank account, stopped direct deposit, notified each pay day loan that I was closing the bank account, and would work out a legal, reasonable repayment plan. I live in NY state and pay day loans ar eillegal, so I will wait for them to take me to court..............even if they are outside NY, can they collect without a court decision? I also am writing to the state attorney general.
