I got a call at work today from Gary Thombson 970-344-3002 at Dept. Law Investigations legal Fees. Anyone heard of them. Said he had a aftadavid with my name on it could barely understand him eventually told him not to call me at work again and hung up on him. I just hope this wasn't legal. Anyone with info greatly helpful. Tried reversal phone and got nothing.

Can i be sued by an online pay day lender for being behind and which i have found out is an illegal lender in the state of florida.

I am receiving a call from 530-331-4395 The man claims to be Attorney Mark Wade form Vincent Dicado Law Firm. Any information on this would be appreciated. Called this afternoon and wanted to speak to my attorney. Called my cell, sent a text, sent a page, and then called my job. When I said hold on and I will transfer you and hung up he called the secretary back immediatly. Any ideas as to what to do.

I know we've discussed "proper" validation from a junk debt buyer and we have differing opinions, but "if" you DV the junk debt buyer, aren't they supposed to go back to the OC and get some kind of proof of the debt? Them just sending another collection letter with mounting interest on their own letterhead, isn't proof, is it? And when you get sued by the junk debt buyer, can you use their failure to go back to the OC and get the proof that you requested as a counterclaim?

capital One has seized funds from my bank account, but I never received a court date. I received a judgement about a year ago...and today is when they took action. I contacted them but they say they cant do anything for me. What are my other options to have them release my account from taking my funds? Thanks

I have credit card debt from over five years ago and I live in Ohio. Someone tried to deliver a certified letter to my old job. Is it possible I am being sued for old CC debt that fell off my record and has been charged off? (it's from 2000-2001 I believe). Thanks for your help!! :) Also, I looked up the local clerk of courts records as Ihave seen reccommended here, and there were no court cases in my name...

First I live in Kansas, and I am disabled living off of SSDI. I previously had a part time job when I got into this payday loan thing. I have 6 loans out, Speedy Cash $300.00, Check N Go, $300.00, Payday Loans, $300.00, Advance America, $400.00, Cash Express, $400.00, and a local renal store for $200.00. Then in May I borrowed $300.00 on line from Ace Cash Express. The rest are store front loans. I was having no problem keeping up until in May when my health got worse and I had to quit my PT job. I am keeping up with them all except Ace.
