Has anyone been contacted by a James Davis with a call back of 646-783-4922? My husband was called several times a few months ago by a Davis but we cant remember the first name. It was the same as everyone else... gonna get thrown in jail...arrested at wrk..blah blah. Today he was called at work again with the name of James Davis and a call back numb of that 646.... When I try to call it back I either get a busy signal or I get the recording stating that ext such n such is busy. The ext number is like 6 digits. Just trying to see if this is the Insta Cash crap again.

This company doesn't honor a cease and desist letter .I just got off of the phone with them.They lied re: their scare tactics and at first said they didn't have the letter. When they did admit that they had the letter they still went with the scare tactics. They told my mother ( the acct. holder) who is 80 yrs old and has dementia that they were having the local police pick her up as they had an arrest warrant for her.That why I called . They still say that that they will take her to court and that I should be paying this if she can't. All of which is against the law.

I just need a point in the right direction here. I got myself into some major debt with payday loans. I have 2 instore and 4 online loans. I know there is alot of post out there re: Can you go to jail for defaulting on a payday loan. I want to know the answer to that? I keep getting nasty phone call from collection agency stating if i dont pay i will go to jail, or the file is going to court if i dont resp by a certain it was going to court and it was going to be triple the amount i owe. Even the amount they state i owe is wrong. I have a few payday loans out there that are old and new. What should i do about this collection agency?
