Hello I had a dispute with a merchant which chase did not thoroughly investigate and decided I was to blame (a gym contract which stated if you moved over 100 miles from the gym and give them the proper notification,which I had, they let you out of the contract[the gyms words were " You gettin' charged...if you don't like it, take us to court" ]). Chase's investigation found "there was a 'valid' contract signed by me.... I never paid the amount and now it's been sold to a collections agency. Is a validation letter likely to be of any help? Are there alternate courses of actions to explore?

As per Vikas Kedia (who owns DCC), Debt Consolidation Care sells payday loan settlement leads (when you fill out the form for "free counselling" that's a lead) to Oakview Law, one of DDS's competitors. So take it with a grain of salt when one of the people that runs this site for Vikas calls a company that doesn't buy leads from here a "scam." They may well be a scam. (I don't know much about DDS personally although I've heard both good and bad.) But the DCC mods are not exactly an unbiased source.
