I received a settlement offer today from weltman/weinberg/reis. Below is an example of the letter I received (I copy/pasted text of a similar letter on internet instead of linking to it). The bolded part was removed from my letter. I cannot google a version like mine on the internet. Is there any reason for concern? Does the removal of this language change what either of us are agreeing to? .. that is, a full and complete settlement?

i got my first credit card when i turned 18. shortly after, i got my first car loan. then i got two more credit cards after that. all of them had a low credit limit ranging from $125 to 700. a couple of months passed and i had lost my job, i had to move back into my parents house back in puerto rico and voluntarily turned in my car. i still owe about 6 grand on it. i didnt have a job so i couldnt pay my other credit cards. right now. i have 5 negative marks on my credit report due to charge offs and collections.

How do you get approved for a bill consolidation loan if your credit is bad and you have no collateral?

I took out a Payday loan, on-line with Emerald Marketing. The amount was 300.00. They would deduct my account bi-weekly the fee of $90. I ended up defaulting with them, then they were just deducting amount at of my account, two 90 pmt at a time. I tried to work out a arrangement with them. Before I defaulted on the account I had paid them 540, so they say. I thought it was more like 690. Now they are telling me I owe them $725. If I paid them 540 and now another $725. That would be a total of $1265.

I currently have 5 internet payday loans. They are with Payday Max, Cashnet, Impact, First Bank of Delaware, and Paradise Cash (intl equity grp). I live in the state of SC. Can you tell me what would happen if I closed my bank account and did not pay?

Please help me, I have two payday loans, here is the info I live in California Have what started as a $300 loan, have been paying 100-150 a month since Nov 09, its with ACE. Another $300 loan, with paydayloanyes. Pay 105 twice a month for the past 4 or 5 months. Both were internet based, I didnt even sign up for the ACE loan, I was browsing for one and the money was just deposited to my account. Please help me the 300-400 a month is breaking me. Thank you

when you take out an on line PDL which PDL laws apply? THe ones based on which state the borrower resides in the the ones based on which state the lender is located in?

I recieved a call from my credit card fraud line that advised me that World National had attempted to charge to my credit card. Speigel advised me they couldn't do that because they never see the account that is being charged. Yeah right! Lucky for me I have Fraud Detection....I am leaving it their hands to go after World National & Speigel!!!
