I had a BoA credit account that I got behind on the payments on, but kept sending about 50% of the minimum payment every month. I had been able to keep up with it through my online banking (I have BoA checking/savings accounts), but one day last year the credit account disappeared, and I never received any more statements from BoA on it, though I kept sending the payments. This week I got a letter from FIA addressed to "The Esate of [Me]." What's up--BoA thinks I've died?!

I apologize in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I wasn't totally sure where to post. I took out a credit card with Citibank with a $2400 limit when I started college (I live in Ohio, btw). Needless to say, the card kind of fell through the cracks of my stupidity, and I eventually started getting the collector's calls. I sent a debt validation request last December because I began getting threats of lawsuits from Javitch, Block & Rathbone representing Midland Funding. They responded within 30 days with the validation and last bill stating my last payment as having been in 2006.

I am getting ready to set up a payment plan with these folks as they seem to have the correct information. How can I further verify that they have my account turned over to them? I can't afford to lose money! Thank you.

has anyone ever heard of or dealt with a company called Omni Services? They are supposedly an office supply company and they are located in Gainesville, TX.

I am trying to pay off my loans i currently have and i am able to get some of them to provide me with a mailing address to send payment since i will only pay via monaey order. i do have on loan in particular from loan shop on loan and they are saying they will not take payment in this form and that they are noteing my fefusel to pay loan on a voluntary basis can they do this because i will not pay in any other form.
