Unfortunately, my wife had some serious debts on credit cards due to an ex of hers, and we actually accepted the "reduced pay-off" that was offered. How could we possibly go about either validating the debt, or getting our money back??

I currently have 5 credit cards that I have been making at least minimum payments on for some time. I am expecting a child in the next three months and would really like to get my head above the water and get out of credit card debt. I am wondering if credit card consilidation is the best option for these debts, as I do have other bills to worry about as well. My debt is not extreme however it is more than I am comfortable with when I am about to start a family...any suggestions??

will this work with my payday loans? what information will i need to get them to help me?

Hi folks - I recently had a run-in with a collection agency. Long story short, it involved a PDL that was taken out by my now ex-wife. I told them to, more or less, take a hike. It was the typical bogus collection threats....jail, license suspension, theft of goods and services, blah blah blah (I live in NJ, where PDLs are strictly governed - and in some cases - illegal). The collector wasn't exactly enthralled with the fact that I laughed at - and hung up on -him. The number that called me was 877-309-7224.

I would like help in writing a second letter to a credit card company after they rejected first letter negotiating a settlement. (sample would be great.) Thanks

Who is more likely to sue to get their money back, a CC company or a collection agency or a lawyer? That might be a weird question I suppose but there's just so many questions I have, some I imagine without answers. This is a completly new world to me and I'm still trying to get a grasp/walk that fine line, for playing within our (Debtors) guideline. I also have another question maybe someone could help clear up..I hear people on here saying they were sued by Chase or Cap one etc...how long was it before they sued?

hi my dad has about 7,000 in c.c debt and is living on 1500 a month which doesnt include 541.00 a month for a car payment he was getting unemployment benefits but they stopped he is 68 yrs old and has breathing issues which could deter him from getting a job what is the best way to go? he cant spens a lot of money for a debt company and does not want debt settlement thanks

I am new to the forum but hope that I can get some advice on dealing with overwhelming payday loan debt. I have gotten myself into a big hole due to taking out payday loans to support a gambling addiction. I have taken the first step to getting on the right track by banning myself from the casinos but now have to find a way to deal with the mess that I have created. I live in MO and have 13 payday loans currently outstanding. 2 of them are online but the rest are storefront.

I also can't find any contact information for CMG llc...they put money into my account without authorization and now I can't even contact them to find out what is going on with my money??? Anyone know how to get in touch with this CMG group??

I had 1750 points showing yesterday! I had cashed in some about two weeks ago! I notice everytime I post the number goes down! I tried to cash them in as money is extremely tight since my UC benefits were put on hold by our self serving Senators. It says that I need at least 1000 to cash in! Isn't 1710 ( the last total ) more than 1000? I do not see a - in front of it! I am confused! Could someone please explain!
