When I have settled with amex, can I be put as secondary on someone else's account? I am asking this because of comments saying that AMEX keeps your debt on the books, and if you want an amex card you have to pay it all back. So, if you have settled, and a couple of months later someone (relative,friend) adds you to their AMEX account so you can use an AMEX card, any problems? thanks

I received a letter for verfication of debt (Chase Card) from Javitch, Block and Rathbone. When I contacted them they told me that the creditor was not interested in negotiating a settlement but offered a lump sum payment or 12 monthly payments of near $500. I do not have that kind of resources. They only give me until June 28th to decide or they will file suit. I need advice! Thanks, Sunnygirl

Hi I recv'd a call from 877-474-9964 in stating that they are calling in regards to a legal matter and that they are calling to notify me of serving suit papers and they will be using my home address, and if no one is home they will show up at my place of business and when they do I have to have my supervisor there and to show 2 forms of I.D., I need to call back to stop suit today. Does anyone know if they can do this?

I'm getting my wages garnished my H&H and was wondering if I'm in any way able to ask them if I can pay it off but make a deal with them.

Has anyone had any dealings with them? I have 6 loans, I will be closing my bank account July 1st and wonder if I'm better off working with all the lenders myself or if this company would ease the stress and pain. I'm assuming they charge their own fee. Any comments helpful. This is a scary, stressful, painful, humiliating process and I appreciate any support. Thank you

This place is rude, their support people are rude. And having told them about 4 times that my phone number is not the number of the person in debt. They actually got mad at me, and said I should have taken note of who I spoke to. better pay your bills or they will harass you until no end, and continue to call every single day 4 times a day. Rude people with no consideration.

I had several payday loans in state of florida, are the payday loan companies allowed to report you to the credit bureau? If so how do I correct this? maryrosebud

Hi, I have settled a handfull of cards in the last 6 months. I know my credit score was 705 on August 2009 and now was told it is 605. I expected that. I am curious as to what my credit report looks like today. I got free ones 8/2009. I went to Experiandirect.com and for $10 I can get instant credit report on line. For $25 I can get from all 3 credit reports. Question, should I get all 3 or just 1??? Thanks
