Hi thanks for all the great advice. I want to ask for a EPP on both my loans one from The Cash Store and Check in GO. Im in Texas. Has anyone tried this and did you have a positive expierence? I wish I would of heard of this option sooner. Ive paid Cash store 2880 on a 900 dollar loan and still have to pay it off. So if this option worked for you please let me know. Thanks

All my income is from soc sec disability or from my 401 K. Can my creditors hit my checking account, or put a lien on my house?

On February 26, 2010, I made a final payment to my FIA Card Services Credit Card for the amount of $10,106.91. This was the TOTAL AMOUNT that was due on my statement. After making the FINAL PAYMENT of $10,106.91, I assummed that I had paid off the total balance that was due and that my account was at a ZERO BALANCE. On March 17, 2010 I received a bill for something called "RESIDUAL INTEREST" for the amount of $54.69. How can this interest accrue when I had already made the final payment on February 26, 2010 for the entire amount on my statement well before the due date?

Ok every time i call i get hanged up on no will talk to me about my credit card

I am considering attempting to settle some of my debt. I am current on all of my accounts but it is difficult to pay them each month. I currently pay about $1200 in monthly payments on cc's alone. I can continue to pay the $1200 but nothing will ever be paid off. Would it make sense to list my accounts beginning with the smallest balance and going to the largest. Then stop making payments to the majority of the accounts, but the first month pay off the smallest with the $1200. The next month use that $1200 to pay off another, and so on.

First source advantage withdrew $660 out of my bank account- which was NOT the amount we had agreed to and when I called and asked to speak to a supervisor- The customer service rep hung up on me!! What can I do to get my money back?

I haven't been well, in fact, I have been in a vast amount of pain, but I put off going to the Dr. due to my current financial situation. Well, last week I cashed in my debt cc points which provided me enough money to go to the Dr. You have no idea what that means to me. Last week I posted about receiving a phone call from a collection agency regarding a PDL that I had no knowledge of taking in 2008. The collection agency just sent me the collection letter and I know I have to now send out a debt validation letter. Can anyone help me with how to draft a debt validation letter for a PDL that is illegal as I am in the State of NJ? Also the debt is not on my credit report as of right now. Any help I would really appreciate it.
