My hubby got us into this trap last spring with assurance that LGF would help us with our credit card debt. We knew that we had that much debt and this was our last hope. Within two weeks, our account was debited for the fee and it was not until about Sept'09 did we realize that LGF was taking over half of the fee. They said that they would contact our creditors and work a deal, still taking money from our account.

Hi everyone, Today I received a voicemail from Ernest Holden with Nationwide. I defaulted a loan with them about three weeks ago. I did the proper paperwork and notified them of my offer. I took a loan out in Feb 2010 of $700. I paid back $575 (in fees mostly) but had to default since I knew the fees were not being applied to my balance. Shortly after defaulting I received a FAX at my work for everyone to see (I posted a thread about that awhile ago) and I spoke to a different rep and told her that I cannot receive calls or faxes at my work regarding this matter.

I have contacted a collection agency regarding paying off tickets for tolls that my daughter did not pay while driving my car they are really past due. I will have to pay them because there is a warrant out in my name.The collection agency wants me to pay an amount that I can not do in three days. What are your suggestions.

What am I suppose to do now? I told them to contact me by us mail and they email me instead. Please help! I just got a call from Mitchell N K. I never let anyone know that it is me answering the phone. I will take a message and tell them I well let them know about this phone call. I just wanted to make sure that this agency was legit. As I was reading everyone's answers and questions it looks like I will not be calling them back. Looks like a very shady law firm. I will let my attorney know about this and she can tell me what to do.

Just received a voice message threatening me with a court summons if I do not contact them. His name was John Evans. He said the company is willing to work something out if I contact them. I have defaulted on several payday loans but have contacted them to see what arrangements can be worked out. Some refuse to work out an arrangement that is reasonable. I don't know which company is filing the complaint, nor did he leave the company he was calling. I've had it with these payday loans, and don't know what to do. I live in Pennsylvania. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My cell phone # has been called 8 times so far in 3 weeks time, looking for someone I do not know. I did call back the first day they called; got "Reliant Recoveries" as the company's name but the place was closed. & more calls after that with 2 voicemails--the last one the man said "Since you hung up on me, we'll be looking for the amount in full". A search of Whocalledus & whocalledme as well as Bud Hibbs site shows numerous complaints for...calling for wrong persons & becoming rude about it!

I am going through a debt management program and was told that under the new Obama plan student loan can be negoitiated for settlement....is this true? Another, debt management frim told me that student loans are not included in a debt settlement plan....Need help!!
