is getting a consolidated loan to pay off my debt considered filing bankruptcy?

I've been hounded by many pay day loans recently. I've paid off 3 in the last 4 months. Yes, one year I needed help and so I took out multiple pay day loans. I came encountered with a agency recently in November 2009 stating that I borrowed a loan from Advance Cash, though this gentlemen had a strong accent. I was afraid, because he said I was going to get arrest and taken to jail for Theft by check. Grant it I have no idea what the pay day loans were named, a lot has happend since 2005. So I can't tell you if I borrowed from this agency or not. But these ppl had all my information.

Portfolio Recovery Associates is calling me and my neighbors about a friend of mine and debts that were supposedly left in another state. This person moved away in the early 90s. What can I do to stop them from calling me and leaving messages on my phone? I don't have any information about other people's debts. I'm tired of their calls.

I have a time share and fell behind 2 payments just after the holidays. In April, I owed $670 which I paid on April 7, 2010. After I made the payment, Pinnacle reps Yolanda Thomas called and told my wife we owe $1419.00. This is for reconnection fees and late fees. We called our time share customer care and finance institution holding the note and we were told we were all caught up on payments. For the past month, Pinnacle has been calling demanding we pay them fees for their service. We asked for amounts and reasons for fees and they became argumentative.
