i received a call from a company stating they were from an investigative company that i had a unpaid payday loan from 2003 and now i owe $3000 and they said that i could go to jail for check fraud if i didn't pay the money i owed. I remember paying this loan in 2003 and i think i paid it cash but dont know if i still have the documentation. I live in NM and Im wondering if the statue of limitations is up?

I am a nervous wreck. I just received a call at work from Advanced Credit Recovery. I called them to see what this was about and the first time the girl hung up on me because I told her that I would not give them any payment with out more info. I called back and found this is from a loan I had with Discount Advances. They say I owe 1502.00 and that they called my work to verify employment and to proceed in suing me and obtaining a garnishment. I sent Discount Advances faxes, e-mails and certified letters last summer in regard to my loan that I overpaid by 1900.00.

I am looking into info on a website called paydayloandebtassistance.com. Any red flags on these guys?

Hello all, Could someone please let me know if Magnum Cash Advance can legally turn my debt over to the three major credit bureaus? I live in PA. On my credit report it shows an previous job,where I made only 1/2 of what I make now. So how can it be an accurate debt to income ratio???? Is there a way to correct this and will it help my credit score or atleast make it easier to obtain a new mortage. Current credit score w/experian is 567,have to check the others.
