My boyfriend was contacted by a law firm about an investigation about me. I called them back and they are demanding $390.00 to be paid due to an unpaid payday loan. They have threathened me if I don't go for this option that I will face 6 months to 1 year in prison for check fraud. Please help

I currently have 5 payday loans and dont know what to do. Tennessee Resident Cash Jar is the oldest it was a 600.00 loan that I have already paid 1325.00 on. Dollar Premier was a 500.00 loan that I have paid 300.00 Payday Nation was a 600.00 loan that I have paid 180.00 The other 2 are Cash Net USA for 400 no payment yet Ace Cash for 425.00 no payment yet All of these are online loans and are wanting help finding out if they are legal and what steps to take on paying them back on my terms. We have had someone take out a loan in husband's name. This was a fraudulent loan, which we never took out. The loan was taken out under plain green LLC/payday loans. CA contacted us and were not very helpful, and said we would have to pay the loan off. We filed police report, for Fraudulent loan, and would like whoever took loan out to be prosecuted.

I signed a Parents Plus loan promissory note to cover a 2200.00 shortfall in my son's first year...After he graduated, I found that they had used my original signature as a proxy for subsequent loans...I have essentially signed a blank check for over 22,000.00...What can I do?

I am trying to negotiate a payment plan with Ace Cash Express CashNet USA CheckNGo I am in Ohio, all were set up online. I have already closed my bank account, and informed my place of employment of the possible fall out. I just need to craft the appropriate letters to them. The illegal PDL letter from OhioGal1 does not seem like the correct letter, since all are licensed on Ohio. Does anybody have a good example of this kind of debt negotiation letter? Thanks.

I sent letter to mypaydayloan.com and received the following response. They are claiming i am inviolation of copyright laws? I know this is an illegal lender - I am in PA and this is an online payday loan. I have received from other companies, but this is the first time I have seen one like this.

My payday is today 8/15. I was able to close by bank account this week. I need help with what to do, what letters to send, etc. I've tried to look at all the different threads with letters and information for months now but I get so confused.

I placed a stop payment WEEKS ago for a lender. I was told by the agent the stop pament was succesful and active. I had planned to close the account and had already opened a new account with another bank. I told BOA I had planned to close the account. I left just enough money for the pending items to post and clear. The item posted anyway and everything that was pending incurred an overdraft or NSF fee. I am now almost a thousand dollars in the negative. I have sent the lender an ACH revocation and have tried to talk to BOA about the stop payment posting anyway.
