My C&D letter and FTC complaint will be faxed in today. Calls are repeatedly made for a debt I don't owe.

My brother has a judgment on him for a large amount of money. He wants to pay the judgement but he can't pay the full amount. They are allowing him to set up a payment plan but want him to pay more then he can afford because of the amount. Can he ask them to lower the amount of the judgment so it won't be so hard to pay? If not can he claim bankruptcy so he don't have to pay? What are his options?

I settled 7500 citi account at 39% after 120 days. Settled an other citi 26000 at 39% at 140 days. I settled Chase 25k at 31% today. I have Amex and B o A left, Amex is giving me really hard time, it went to Zwicker and now it went to NCO and sent them arb and DV and now NCO is very quite. B of A is about 90 days late and owe about 12K I will waite on that. BOA claims they don't go bellow 25%. It's close to charge-off. Any recent BOA settlement %? I told them I can't, but I'm wondering what to expect, because I will let it charge off, because I can only pay so many creditors with what I have borrowed. If they stick to their number, I might as well focus on the other creditors.

[COLOR=black]I opened a Bally's gym membership in 2004 and in 2005 i got reactivated to be deployed to Iraq. Meanwhile my Bally's account kept going and eventually went into collections. I am trying to resolve this, but the collections basically told me I'm out of luck because there just concerned to collect what's due and don't want to make an adjustment from when I got activated. Can they do this? i have a feeling they can do something for me, but that there just trying to close me to get as much as possible.

I was advised by Chase today to try their credit counseling. Has anyone tried this? He said it can reduce your interest and payments.

I have alot of credit cards with high balances and I have been paying the minimum payments but I fear I soon will not be able to. I am already paying on a debt consolidation loan with my bank, but I want to get rid of most of my credit cards now because I will still be paying on them for 20 some years because of the finance charges. How can I consolidate my remaining credit card debt into one affordable monthly payment? Is it possible?
