Hello... I myself have made the mistake of not paying my school loans right away. I have had my student loans sent to CA, started paying them, only to fall off due to unemployment or just didn't have the money after paying bills. My last 2 tax refunds have been taken away, which is understandable due to the fact that my student loans have defaulted. I have two student loans. There has been one that has been great, if I'm gonna be behind they have let me made up the payment. I even check with the DOE about the CA, and there have seen their money.

So, it's been an almost three year battle with me filing bankruptcy - pro se, no less - and I finally filed in January and managed to make it through all the paperwork, forms, notarizations and classes on my own. I live in NJ and they have a VCIS (Voice Case Information System), where you can call to get automated information on a case and its status. According to the VCIS my case was discharged yesterday, on April 30!

I am three months behind on my mortgage payment and expecting the foreclosure notice to arrive soon. Even after the foreclosure if the selling price isn't sufficient to cover the outstanding loan amount, would the lender come after me for the balance? I don't have enough money to pay them off. How can I stop them from harassing me in the future?

I have been getting money withdrawn from my account since November last year. I have tried to stop this but they keep on taking. Does anyone have any info about this company ( i would like to send them a few bricks in stead- may they would get the message and STOP TAKING MONEY FROM ME!) 888-2332302

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble with a payday loan I took out in Oct 2009. Until I found this site, I was pretty sure I'd be paying on this loan for eternity. Here's the info on my loan: Company: wagesfast.com Initial Amount: $200 Loan Opened: Oct 09 Interest Paid to date: $1,106 I live in NY Has anyone successfully dealt with this illegal lender? I've read some other posts but I can't seem to find any contact info for this company. I'd like to be prepared if I have to go head-to-head with them. At this point, I'm feeling incredibly stupid for even having taken this loan.

I am being sued in Texas by Michael J. Scott, PC for a Citibank debt. I sent a debt verification letter but they never responded to that. Instead I get a lawsuit. I thought they had to verify the debt before continuing collection efforts. I am new to all of this and not sure what to do. Does anyone have any experience with this law firm?

Does the step parent have to sign also if natural parent co-signs for his child?

This is a first post from a long time lurker. Thank you in advance for all of the help and advice everyone offers here, it has helped us a great deal in clearing up our old debt. We have been working on our debt for close to two years, for the most part just to put that part of our past behind us. We have managed to settle with our debtors on all of our old accounts over this period of time to show everything as paid.

although i appreciated the help i just didnt get a clear perception of what i should do when i posted this question in a previous thread. anyone out there have a clear cut letter i can send? i was sued, not served properly/at all by a collection "attorney" (Palisades) in 2008.
