Is there anyway to check and see what the name of the person that was making harassing phone calls to my residence.

I called them up because i have a citibank card that i had not paid in about 10 months. I offered a 50% settlement and they wanted 66%, i countered for 55% and they accepted it. I know they are the collection agency because i was given their number by citi and they had all of my info when i just gave them my name. I can pay this, but am wondering if I should wait them out and get a better deal when the account is sold to another agency. The rep told me the account was placed in their company in February of this year. The balance on the account is $21,000

i havge 2 online based payday loans and one for 275 and the other for 200 im in a situation where money is tight what would happen if i cant make a payment to pay them off

i have been called and told that i was being sent to court on fraud charges for not paying a payday loan of 300 they wanted 857 i paid them 600 then asked them for the loan company in which they were collecting for they would not tell me and asked when they could take the remainder of the money, i said not until i find out what company you are collecting for and he said he is returning my money and filing criminal charges on me and he will make me lose my job can they really do this

Then when I went back to work I pulled my credit and tried to pay off as many defaulted accounts as I could. But this loan was not there. so I forgot all about it. Now they sold my account to a collection agency and I found out because i got a call from a compant named national saying they are in charge of processing the papers to send to court for prosecution of civil and criminal against me for an nsf check.

reached judgment with CACH however due to decrease in finances I defaulted and now they are taking me back to court what can I do?

Good morning everyone Just wanted to let you all know I just settled a 13,800 citi cc account for 20% settlement. It was about 5 months late. It was not easy !! They were stuck on 45% for a long time. Then finally I recieved a letter in the mail offering 30%..... I pressed my luck a little further and they finally went to 20% ! The key was it went to a 3rd party collection agency.... and right away I before I even DVed them... we struck a deal at 20% Thanks to this forum for some great info !:p
