want to pay off payday loans totaling $2000

15 years 11 months ago
I would like to take out a personal loan to pay off my 3 payday loans totaling $2,000. The interest I pay monthly is $550. I could well afford to make payments on a $2,000 loan if I could just get rid of the payday loans. It seems like no one will help unless you have no debt. It's very frustrating..

I am being sued by Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A.

In May of 2008, these people agreed to settle a debt with me. I was to make 3 payments of $700.00. I made the first payment over the phone and asked them to send in writing the terms of our agreement. I never recieved anything but phone call after phone call from them wanting more money. So, I put a stop payment on the checks. Now, they are suing me for almost 3xs the amount that they agreed to settle with in the first place. From my understanding, they are a collection agency. .. not my creditor (Capitol One).

Payday loans on credit report - help!

15 years 11 months ago
Hello, I live in CT and have all internet based payday loans. I recently found that that two loans that I defaulted on have shown up on my credit report by the CAs that reported them. I overpaid for both of them, so I don't owe them anymore. I tried disputing them with Transunion and on one they said the amount was verified and for the other, they increased the amount due! I don't think I was clear enough in my dispute - I called their 1-800 number for the disputes and the guy wouldn't take any additional comments on the dispute.

Moving to Another Country with Debt

15 years 11 months ago
I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this topic but I didn't know where else to ask. I am 25 years old and owe about $15000 in debt, through a combination of school and unintelligent spending. I've lived in New York City for all of my life, and have wanted to move to a different country for a number of years now. I am unsure what happens to my existing debts when I am trying to move. First off, can my debts hurt or completely stop my chances of moving to the country I want and eventually becoming a citizen?

Problem with credit card co.

15 years 11 months ago
have received EARNINGS WITHHOLDING ORDER(WAGE GARNISHMENT)ON 03/03/10. Plaintiff is CAPITAL ONE BANK and I found out that they are trying to collect money from me instead of my x-husband. The number on the WAGE GARNISHMENT letter belonged to the debt collector Co. When I called them, the debt collector said that the credit card was under my ex-husband's name, but I still got charged for the bill on the credit card. They explained to me that a credit card was applied under my name and my ex-husband's name in 1997.

Preparing For Settlement

15 years 11 months ago
My wife has a lot of credit card debt from medical bills, family emergencies, etc that we are saving up to settle. All the credit cards are in her name only. I know its a good idea to have a separate checking account that is not affiliated with the bank of any of your credit cards but my question is can the Credit cards find out how much money you have saved in your savings account even though the account is with a different bank? I know the credit report doesn't show this information but is there another way they can find out what you have saved for settlement?
