Citifinancial

I was wondering if anyone has had success lately with Citifinancial? I have a account with them through the Great Escape, they are not going any lower than 50%. It is going to charge off on March 7th. I was wondering if anyone has had a account with them that has charged off? Do you think I will get a better settlement offer if I let it charge off. I have successfully settled about 10 accounts due to the help on this website!! I have 3 more to go Boa, Chase and Citifinancial!! Thanks for your help

Mann Bracken in receivership. . all we need now is for the FBI to release what they have on Berger Singerman and the party is completed.

Capital One - Settled!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Capital One settled for 45% after 214 days. They sent it so Nelson Watson & Associates after being with Global for several months until it charged off. They would do nothing up to this point. I don't know if this means that they are re-considering their hard-line policy or if it's just a fluke. This is the last credit card account to settle. I settled over $100K with an overall average of 32% and I did it myself. You can too! I couldn't have done it without all of the contributions on this forum. Thank you so much for taking the time to post.

Is the real estate market going to bounce back?

Even two years back the real estate market has been a great place to invest but we can't say that with surety now. In the last two years, prices of real estate properties have fallen by more than 50%. Do you think it would be wise to invest in the real estate market again?

Is 529 plan a good idea

I'm planning to set up a college fund for my ten years old daughter. But I am not sure where to begin. Is setting up a 529 plan a good idea? What type of return should I expect from this plan?

Brand New Gateway PC SX2800-03 Windows Vista Home 64bit with SP1 Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 4gigs of DDR3 for RAM Intel GMA X4500 Intergrated video (vga and hdmi outputs) 640 gig My friend just got this pc for Christmas. They were installing softwares. They must have downloaded a crappy software to get this error. The last software they installed and all the problems started after the install was iTunes. Probaly didn't get it directly from Apple and got it from another fake website or something. OR maybe he may have visited an adult site and gotten the trojan/virus.

1099c nightmare.

I need some general answers and opinions on what I am experiencing. In 8/08 our second mortgage was forgiven. In Feb. 09 we received a 1099c for the full amount of the debt.We were not expecting the 1099's and had already filed our 08 taxes. So we held the 1099's and figured we'd file a amended 08 return when we did our 09 return. From Feb.

Auto Lease balance

Hi there. I leased an auto for 60 months that just recently ended. Unfortunatly I did not read the fine print and this was an open ended lease. I assumed (wrongly) that when I returned the car which was in flawless condition and way under in mileage that I was done and all was well. NOT THE CASE!!! Per the Company I am now responsble for the difference from what they whosaled the car for and what the buy out amount of the lease was. In this case $13,000.00 !!!! I am appauled!
